They had no record of our Orbitz reservation even though I had the email and confirmation number. This is not acceptable. Remove this hotel from your offerings.
That should’ve been a sign for me to go elsewhere. The room was disgustingly dirty. It smelled of cigarettes, marijuana and wet dog. There was no water pressure at the sink; it was a literal trickle. It took over six minutes, yes I timed it, for the water to get warm enough to shave. Shaving and brushing your teeth required catching water in cups. Fortunately the room had cups and a disposable ice bucket, but that’s where the “extras” stopped.
However, there was no hair dryer, microwave, fridge or coffee maker in the room. These are basic amenities. We’re on a 2,500 mile cross country road trip with multiple hotel stops and I can’t believe this place is in business. My guess is that they have an hourly rate as well. Outside of our room, we got to hear the haggling between a man and woman who was a member of the world’s oldest profession.
The shower was a corner unit with a filthy shower curtain that barely functioned. The shower lever was stripped out so finding a temp between scalding and freezing was a challenge that tested my patience. The pressure was slightly better but if you have long hair I wouldn’t recommend it. And you better have your own shampoo and conditioner because all you get is a small bar of soap.
Why didn’t I go elsewhere? They wouldn’t refund any money back from the reservation and several
