We stayed here for baseball week. Everything was perfect and the owner was very quick in response to any questions or issues we had. Highly recommend!

No frills stay

This house is clean, comfortable, and centrally located. All your need will be me, but nothing extra. The communications from the owner was great. I was busy with baseball on day one, but they did frequently email me and even had the house ready for me to check in a few hours earlier than expected. There were no issues when I was there so I never had to reach out, so I cannot attest to responsiveness, but based on the way they reached out on day 1 i would assume they would be the same. There are some things that need to be upgraded for example, the living room couch, the tvs do not log you out of your apps after your stay (someone is on my netflix account) a bed in one of the bedrooms squeaked every time, but overall it was a comfortable stay and i WOULD stay again.

Could be great with a few small tweaks

Good location and great communication with property owner. note, online site says 11am check out but was sent a message that says 10am check out- so this was a bit off during our checkout as I had checked the VBRO site to confirm and it said 11am. A lot of folks work remotely but there wasn’t a desk anywhere to set up my laptop. I had to use dining room table which wouldn’t be my preference normally. Some of the pans/cookware were old/rusty and should be replaced. The cleaner for this residence let them down a bit and didn’t leave dishwasher tabs even though they wanted us to start dishwasher so be bought some and left behind. There were brand new towels- still with tags on them that had not been washed. They were black towels so we had black lint on us all week even after removing tags and washing a couple of times. There was no hair dryer so I had to buy one. Overall a decent place to stay with a TV in each large bedroom.

Not What It Appears

One week before we left for our trip, the owner messaged me and said this property was no longer available (even though I booked it 9 months ago for Cooperstown). Instead, we were given a subpar apartment in a sketchy part of Oneonta. He said he would give it to us for the “same price”. The new house was not clean, was on a busy street next to a pizza place, people were doing drugs right around us, and it did not seem safe. I was extremely disappointed with the accommodations.
