I booked a 2 night reservation at the last minute due to a family medical emergency where I traveled from out of state. When I arrived I was provided with a room that smelled so badly of cigarette smoke I could hardly stand it. Unfortunately this hotel was fully booked so no other rooms were available. There were cigarette burn marks on the nightstand, shockingly on the bedspread, and on the toilet seat. Obviously the management does not care about this situation. If you have no other option, be sure to ask about smoke free accommodations. Definitely would not recommend this location to any travelers, even if there were no other rooms in Lacey close to St. Peter's Hospital available. Head to Centralia, Olympia or Hawks Prairie.
The room was clean, plenty of parking, great customer service and free breakfast in the morning. Denny's is close by within walking distance, it is close to the freeway yet quiet in the room. This is a good place to stay whether you stay one night or a week.
This Inn was very accommodating for our needs. They didn't have a pet friendly room available but still gave us a room that allowed pets. The staff is friendly and it is located in a convenient location with clean rooms.
Its rare for us to be fully surprised in our travels to find motels that excel our expectations. Quality Inn at Lacey is fabulous. The parking lot is wide plenty of spaces to negotiate. "Curb appeal" in approaching the building makes it very user friendly. The lobby is not big, but carefully tended to by people obviously showing pride in work area and facility. The desk was manned by a nice gentleman who made us feel welcome even though we hadn't been there before. He shared local places for food, drinks or groceries. Went out of his way to be accommodating to point of telling us how to get 10% discounts on restaurants within walking distance. The motel has laundry room (very clean), and workout room (which I stayed away from) with dry sauna, plus free and fast-working wifi. The room was comfortable, neat and tidy. It had a refrigerator, microwave and television. The bathroom was small, yet exceptionally clean!! (they even offered FREE toothbrushes and tooth paste if we forgot ours!) Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast room in the morning offered both hot and cold options for any taste, and was constantly attended to ensure filled up food choices, as well as clean tables and counters. They offered three types of cold cereal, fresh fruit, eggs, gravy and biscuits, waffles, and plenty of offerings of juice, milk and coffee. Our room was less then 25 yards from heavily traveled I-5 yet we didn't hear it and only with looking out window would have known. We've stayed at "high end" hotels in capitals in Europe and Asia, as well as in North America, and Quality Inn Lacey was on those levels of friendliness, clean and comfortable. Only negative I had was the room didn't have alarm clock, as well as television guide, so we just scrolled through the online channels, a minor issue considering overall motels appeal.
I was very impressed with this motel. Very clean and friendly, helpful staff, quiet, and up-to-date. Very prompt with requests for extra towels, etc. Shopping is close ( I think we went to a target. I would stay here again when in the area. The free breakfast was one of the best I have had at a motel, and was kept clean and refilled constantly. The staff seemed happy to be there.
The stay was quite but the bed was hard. Breakfast was pretty standard, nothing exciting. We were on a different floor and didn't see an elevator in the halls so we had to take the stairs. Good for a one night stay but I wouldn't recommend for a long stay.
We stayed in one of the jacuzzi suites. The room was clean and the staff was nice. We did not wake up in time to take advantage of the free breakfast. We did not use their wifi. I would stay here again. Their military discount was awesome! We went to the casino and we got back to the hotel kind of late and there were very few parking spots. That sucked.
From start to finish on a three day stay was wondering what had changed since " Many" prior stays at this hotel.. We drove from Eastern Washington for our sons wedding. I remembered how small the rooms were and asked immediately upon arrival if we could upgrade to a larger room. We were told we could be accommodated the following day. The next morning I asked before 9:00 am and was told the hotel was full and it couldn't be done. Bummed but ok!! Next I'm standing at sink when older gentleman and luggage enters room. Oops. We used workout room 2 days in a row. First day told front desk no towels, no bacterial soap to wipe machines,no water glasses, garbage over flowing. 2nd day same as first. My husband leaves to tell front desk. She did come with water glasses and soap for exercise equipment.. She is a pleasant woman and seemed truly apologetic.. After working out I grabbed a glass and headed for the less than a quarter full water dispenser.. Took a drink and swallowed. Immediate taste of mold and overly old water..I turned to my husband and said that water hasn't been changed as its moldy or something..I said I hope I don't get sick.. I am the head housekeeping manager at an inn in Easter Washington.. I've done this life's work since the age of 16.. A total of over 40 years. The wedding complete and a late night we retired to bed around 11:00.. At exactly 7:00 with a DO NOT disturb hanging on the door someone entered our room without knocking! What stopped them was we always use the security bar.. My husband yells from bed. Hey!! We are in here.. We decided lets just pack up and head out. We packed and my husband started carrying out an abundance of luggage and extra things from wedding. I was standing at sink brushing my teeth and again with do not disturb still hanging again without announcing or knocking the housekeeper entered yet again.. It was only 7:35.. My husband lost it and headed for the front desk.. I can't even fathom with a hotel full of rooms why at 7:00 in the morning was our room entered twice without knocking and a do not disturb.??? We were gone a lot as we were preparing for a wedding. My thoughts were did they enter our room while we were gone.??? I don't do housekeeping service. I take my towels and garbage everyday to the maid and restock as we are tidy people and why bother having service.. I always leave our Do not disturb sign up.. We were given a free night and in all honesty I think it was deserved.. I don't think I'll be staying again. Something is not the same..
First day I checked in, I found out my safe was not functioning so I called the front desk and placed the DND outside until the safe is fixed. After they replaced the safe for me, I made sure I put the DND sign inside before leaving. When I came back late at night, I found out the room was not cleaned up and it was left the same way when I left! When I complained to the front desk, I was told there was a DND sign in the morning but the housekeeper never checked back in the afternoon to see if the room was empty for cleaning! On the third day of my stay, I left the room and also made sure the DND is placed inside, but when I came back after mid night, I found out the room was NOT cleaned up AGAIN!! I complained the next morning and the only response I got is that the housekeeper noticed the DND sign was still placed outside the door the whole day which I strongly disputed! I was also told that they took a picture of the door where the DND sign was placed but they never emailed it to me as promised! Regardless, I asked for a full refund of the last night I stayed after having a very bad room service experience, but all I got is a bag of chips and a bottle of water! Overall, it was one of the worst room service experiences I ever had at any Choice Hotel and I would not recommend staying at this hotel! Not to mention, their rooms are dingy and outdated, and the bathroom is showing serious signs of aging!
We had a "free" night coming and used it July 15th. Reserved 5 days ahead. Came in late and the place was full. The room was close to the entry. Good so far. That was the best thing. The room was minature compared to any of the other properties we've stayed at with this chain. The bed was lousy, the carpets weren't clean, the switch for the light on bedside table was so difficult to turn off we had to unplug it. The toilet is about 6 inches from the tub and the door opens to the side of the tub. The toilet wooshes so loud it frightened my wife the first time. The breakfast was the usual and I was hungry for biscuits and gravy. Only the gravy was watery and tasteless. It made us wonder if they give the lousiest room to the people that earned a free stay.
