We stayed 6 nights. The property was very clean & looked near-new. Nice shower & towels/linens. Liked the option for no daily room service - we reuse towels and the staff gave us some extra washcloths. Morning breakfast was included and better than most. Valet parking was $30 a day and the service was excellent, especially when we told the attendant we'd be in-and-out multiple times. Walkable to Oakland Museum of California (strongly recommend!), Lake Merritt, Chinatown eateries, 12th St BART station. We will definitely stay here again.

Our stay at this hotel was very disappointing; upon arrival we were hit with 30 dollars a day for valet parking. I am disabled and not one person lifted a finger to help me at any time during my stay. I was watched struggling and no one helped! I then was hit with 75 dollars a day hold on my credit card for 6 days totaling 450 dollars I mean this is ridiculous as this was never mentioned! The room that we were given at first had no toilet paper and when we asked about it they gave us one roll! Yes one roll????? One lamp didn’t work, then the microwave didn’t work, and then the TV didn’t work as well as we needed 6 different key cards to get in the room because those didn’t work! They finally moved us to the 8th floor because nothing was working in our room; not one person helped us moving all of our stuff again to another floor! The staff was unhelpful and uncaring! By far the worse stay at a hotel that I have ever had. I won’t be using Hampton Inn anymore!

There is a night club on the corner adjacent to the hotel. while trying to sleep you are hearing loud music and loud noises wll past 1:00 am.

Location nice, surrounding area not too attractive

The property was very nice, convenient and centrally located. Front Office staff Savannah and Nick, Breakfast attendant, and valet parking staff were very professional, informative, and courteous. They all actually help make my trip a success. The breakfast was very appetizing and nourishing to start your day. I have three negatives to mention: 1) Valet parking (third-party) closes every day between 12:30 am til 5:30 am. That truly sucks as that cut into my going-out time. However, they are the safest and remain open the longest in the downtown area. I enjoyed their automated system of calling to retrieve your vehicle and when it's downstairs. 2) The city view isn't a true city view. 3) My ice machine on my floor and 2 other floors weren't working.

The room was clean and spacious. I appreciate the refrigerator and microwave; that seems to be going away with hotels these days. "City View" should probably be more defined as "view of the neighboring building's rooftop and graffiti". Staff was friendly. Elevators were clean. The parking situation was a bit of a surprise - offsite parking was very difficult to find and was basically an additional $30 per day for overnight parking. Overall a good stay with a few minor glitches. This hotel would be a strong 4 star if they had onsite parking.

My stay here was perfect. Staff very friendly, room very comfortable & clean. Perfect location. I felt safe too. Choose here when considering a home away from home.

Like: cleanliness Don’t like: parking - no valet as opposed to what on their website. Suggest to change it. People would understand because of covid, but to find out later it’s disappointing.

My problem was the heating and cooling system. The fan would not stay on so instead it kicked on every 20 min waking me up.

The staff were friendly and attentive. The three breakfasts we had were excellent. The only drawback was there was no onsite parking. There was a third party valet parking service for $30/night which was OK but not as convenient. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was clean, conveniently located, and had a friendly staff.

They food addy each property is the same which I like but the food at this location was not good. The omletes were dry, the oatmeal was ok. There are many restaurants in the area which helps this part. The parking situation was unexpected, all valet with no service between 1230am -5am. I needed to leave at 2 am but the valet was accomodating. I'll stay there again but with no car.

Staff were great. Property was great. Just take an Uber there from the train...don’t walk!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback and for your business! I completely understand your sentiment towards microwaves and fridges in rooms, I'm so happy we are able to offer them in all of our rooms! Right now we have temporarily suspended our valet operations, however, we do have some parking garages that are near by and a garage that we can validate parking at a reduced rate for our guest. We hope to return normal valet service as soon as our local health officials give us the all clear! Stay safe, enjoy the rest of your holiday season, and we'll be ready for your next visit!
