The location cannot be beaten. It is just over two blocks from the heart of Queen St. We wanted to stay close to the shops and restaurants because we wanted to park the car and walk everywhere. This cottage certainly fulfilled those wishes.

Cable TV was terrible. Bathroom was too small. Place needed upgrades such as flooring. Too much money for what we got. No dishcloths for washing the dishes. Washer/Dryer was okay but no instructions for its operation. Area was good and quiet. Deck was good, but property was not maintained. Bed was okay.

The cottage was lovely. The grounds were beautiful. The proximity to Main Street and the lake are excellent. Not to mention it was a 5 minute drive to the Jackson Triggs winery. All in all an excellent adventure and visit!

Birthday Adventure

We were looking for some place not too far from our home that we had not been to before. NOTL was the perfect choice. Saw the Generals Cottage and knew it looked like a great choice. It was easy to get too. It was close to Queen St. The owners give you a great welcome package with things to do and free wine tasting coupons. We took advantage of them. We would stay there again without question.

Very cozy and quiet. Huge private yard with great back deck. Loved the front porch, where we spent much time enjoying our wine. Place was clean and welcoming. Flowers and music upon arrival were a nice touch. My husband and I took my sister there for her 90th birthday. We were all very pleased. It is small and older but very adequate for 3 adults. We have simple taste and loved it. Thank you to our hosts for assisting in making our experience and celebration special.
