Front desk rep was very rude and unfriendly. Not very welcoming at all. Hotel itself was ok. Everything was clean.

Robert Treat Hotel is in an excellent location, short 15 min walk from NJ Penn. the rooms are basic, clean and quiet. We had to request washcloths and coffee/supplies for the coffee maker that weren’t in our room when we checked in. The shuttle from Newark Airport was great, we had a great driver. The lady at the front desk during our stay was rude. She a Ted like we bothered her to do her job. The rest of the staff was great. So nice, very friendly. We will stay there again!

The elevators weren’t working. I was on the 15th floor, and needed to walk on the rooftop to another stairway. Walk down to the 14th floor, then down the hallway and around the corner to a different elevator, take it to the 2nd floor and then walk down the stairs to the 1st floor. Super inconvenient. The front desk wasn’t very helpful. Rather than immediately help me with my problems, they kept seeing other people in line behind me before solving my problem. The shuttle didn’t pick me up at the train station either. I called the hotel and asked for the free shuttle service and they told me to meet at the train station but it never came. I had to pay for an Uber and when I go to the hotel, the shuttle was just sitting in front of the hotel.

I don't think that PAYING guests should have to find parking and be inconvenienced because the hotel decides to host a wedding. The hotel staff was rude as can be. We had to park in front of a hotel exit door. I was so afraid we would be towed. Not only that it was a fire hazard to block that door that way. The hotel was very loud and made it difficult to rest. To describe the staff that did not give their names, it was a male and a female. The guy was light-skinned and bald he wore glasses. and the female was dark-skinned with long hair.

Very outdated. Last thing they did to update was mount a tv on the wall. Stains on walls and dirty bathroom. Feels like it was the same linens the president in 1960 slept on. Yuck all around.

Decent room for the price. There was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee pot or coffee.

Check-in went smooth and they held my bags for me after check-out and until my flight. I had a non-smoking room. The first room they put me in smelled really bad like cigarette smoke. They happily moved me when I gave this feedback and my next room was really nice. Smelled great and clean. Had a great view of NYC. Even saw, but did not hear, planes flying in and out. Close to Starbucks, dunkin donuts and some other restaurants. Close to shopping too. It was a nice stay. The door key in the elevator can be a struggle at times but it worked fine on the door to my room.

I stayed here for two days for a wedding. Overall the hotel is nice and clean, the staff are helpful and the location is great. Some areas that need improvement: one is that the room has strong smoke smell. Another is the card didn't work properly for the elevator. The card scanning was slow and sometimes it was not working to use it to some floors. We spent a long time riding the elevator up and down to get to the floor we wanted.

All the hotels I've been staying this is the worst . Customer service/mgrs dont care about you.The hall ways smells like smoke/beds are dirty not a clean place etc.I would not stay at this hotel if they were giving me their best room for free.

Not as clean or updated. Never gave me my requested blanket and then stop answering phone.

My room was clean & my view of the outside was nice. It was easy to get connected to the wifi. those were the good things about the room. The security guard going out of his way to help me was awesome. Downside is that room was missing things I needed like ice bucket, cups, etc. and the room has no air conditioning. I was forced to open the window to cool my room. I never heard of any hotel not having air conditioning. It made it difficult to sleep all 3 nights I was there. Plus they allowed people to smoke in the hotel which gave me a migraine from the smell. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not my cup of tea, my husband picked it. Paid parking for paying guests is ridiculous, one wash cloth and towel a room. And the people coming in and out made me nervous.

After a 10 hour drive to NJ I taught I was going to get some rest but someone in either the room next door or above was making a lot of noise. I complained about it to the front desk who told me they would send security. 3 hours after the noise was still going as if it was a party. The only reason I did not go to another hotel is because the next morning I was going to bury my mother and I had my grand father with me so was trying to minimize contact with too many people at this co-vid19 period.

It was in a decent part of town, if your traveling with children this is not the place. It smelled like cigarette and weed. The staff in the hotel were rude asked question and they just said “I don’t know” however the restaurant/bar staff were kind and patient.
