I stayed 3 nights, 2 on 4th floor and 1 on 10th (416 and 1016). Was surprised to not find a bench in 10th floor room. It’s a definite bonus to have that, so I’d recommend putting one in. There’s plenty of space!
Right in Union Square and convenient starting point with subway access. Walgreens right across the street making it easy to get needed supplies and snacks as needed.
Some of the staff was not very helpful beginning with the check-in procesdx

Located close to Union Sq. One block away from the subway and easy access to all trains. Walking distance to SOHO and Village, NYU. Lots of great restaurants, coffee shops, breakfast. Book lovers dream. One block from Strand. Best for couples, students, business travelers. Would not recommend with small children. Limited space in a room. Rooms are small. Designed to be functional and not to spend a lot of time in a room.
Friendly and helpful staff. Hyatt gets the little things right here with, for example, free and sufficient wifi, phone chargers built into the clock, a corkscrew. Great location, good sized room. All-in-all, a wonderful stay.
Staff is the best....every whim anticipated, but with 179 rooms down to one elevator for a week it was tough....but the staff was amazing!
