Great location in SoHo
Great location, friendly staff - greeted on coming and going. A charge on my card (a deposit for room service), was explained clearly on request, as was my zero balance on leaving, with a receipt waiting in my inbox later.
They didn’t clean the room in all three days, rude and racist staff, they were not able to provide or call a cab for JFK at my departure, I didn’t have a glass or a bottle of water at my arrival, beyond comprihension
The property was clean and pleasant but Orbitz advertising that there is a buffet breakfast is false,it’s a Starbucks and not worth paying extra for breakfast
Did not get a city view room despite paying for it by the booking agent. Requested a better room for a special birthday weekend at 2 PM and then again at 6 when we came back after lunch etc. since room was not ready. Worst check in by front desk. Rude pompous agent. Selected this hotel for convenience and good reviews. Dies not do justice to the Marriott brand! Disappointed!!
The rooms were small but clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and so was the overall room. Really nice staff had a good stay
We got a king with sofa bed. The sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable, even for a sofa bed. The room was typical NYC - tight with the sofa bed opened. Otherwise, it was a nice room in a great location. The lobby was nice, with a breakfast/coffee/snack/bar (beer and wine) open late.
Nice location for my visit to nearby NYU and Greenwich village. Staff very helpful with parking and luggage storage. Rooms on small side but given the location it's understandable.
It's not the best hotel. It felt a little dated and wasn't super clean. This was probably the worst courtyard Marriott I've ever stayed at. I would expect more based off the price. There's other comparable priced hotels within the area so I would try one of those instead.
The hotel exceeded our expectations. We choose the area to be closer to my daughter who was also visiting and loved the area. We definitely will stay at this hotel again and now prefer the area over the crowdedness of mid town Manhattan.
The Courtyard New York is close to the best of the downtown area. It has a subway stop nearby and plenty of great restaurants within an easy walk from the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. A very pleasant stay!
The Courtyard New York is ideally positioned to access the best of the downtown area. Close to subway and a great range of eating places. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet by New York standards.
Pleasant room, exemplary staff, nice location just south of Houston Street, and very good value for the area. I would stay here again.
Location is great, just a short walk to West Village. Views from the high floors are very good as well, full span of the midtown skyline. Otherwise the hotel is fairly ordinary, but perfectly clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful enough. All told a solid choice for a non-pretentious hotel downtown
Very positive experience, nice staff, and good location. We will definitively come back. Convenient with the subway. We only miss not having a real american breakfast at the hotel but there is a restaurant right next door
Weekend couple getaway was very pleasant. Walked to Soho shops, dining, bars, lounges, and clubs. Arrived in NYC via bus (Port Authority). One easy subway ride (the #1 train) landed us at the doorstep of the hotel. Varick St had enough traffic so that cabs were easy to get, also. 14th Floor room was VERY quiet and pleasant (and the elevator was spacious, fast and not "scary" like some elevators are).
one night stay. pristine room. speedy check in. speedy, front desk check out. small, but great quality tv (30 inches or less). I pod dock. very good sound proofing ( or just decent neighbors). my girlfriend got stuck in an elevator. otherwise, a great experience
