This hotel is all about location… it is convenient to both the CBD and the French quarter. It’s also on the same corner as a street car stop so you can get anywhere with ease. Our room was clean and completely adequate, just really small… the king bed took up the entire room. The lobby is weird… there’s no obvious front desk and no real lobby at all, it’s just a foyer with a nondescript desk tucked away as an afterthought. The staff are friendly, but very young and seem inexperienced… at one point we had to wake one up who was sleeping on the desk to ask a question. The parking is convenient… you self park across the street in a gated lot so you can easily use your car if you want to (which you won’t need, but it’s nice to have access). Overall, this is really a convenient place to stay with a nice room and a good value, but if you’re looking for a hotel “experience” with full service and amenities, don’t stay here.
Arrived after Mardi Gras: The hotel room was dirty at arrival with broken beads and glitter on the floor, what appeared to be cake icing on portions of the curtains in addition to a partially flushed commode with remnants of stool still inside. The coffee maker was filthy to the point of me trying to clean it but ultimately giving up and going to a nearby coffee shop. The smoke detector was even low on battery to the point of it beeping literally beeping every 20 seconds. I did bring it up to the front desk via phone and in person. The clerk says a work order would be in place but the maintence guy works multiple properties so dont know when the alarm would be fixed.. the condition of the room was brushed off. Needless to say, I'll be avoiding this one for all future visits to Nola.
Great place to stay for vacation.Close to everything. Desi vega was great.
Just far enough from overly rowdy tourist but close enough to walk down to French Quarter. Older hotel staff was polite. Wish there was a mini fridge.
The staff was wonderful and the style of the hotel great
The property and room were nice and clean. The staff was all very welcoming and helpful. missed having a mini fridge in the room though.
Excellent location, though the street traffic noise at the front of the building was about bothersome, I got used to it and slept very comfortably in their beds. Pillows were a bit too thick, and hallway walls a bit too thin but I would definitely stay there again. Having the streetcar right out front was a lifesaver.
We enjoyed our stay, the staff was wonderful. They helped make our trip to Children’s Hospital a little less stressful.
Great location, easy to reach all attractions, in a quiet area
You can smell cigarette smoke in lobbies and room, even though signs say nonsmoking.
Very nice hotel walking distance to most attractions downtown.
Friendly staff, especially India and Mitch, beautiful room, nice location.
This Hotel is in a good location by a small park. Close walk to Mothers Restaurant. The bed was comfortable and the carpet looked brand new also the shower was nice and hot! The furniture was worn and very old, the upholstered furniture was in need of repair or replacing. Other than that it worked fine for a business trip and couples would enjoy it. The first night I made to get used to the street car rumbling down the street every 10 to 15 minutes but I got used to that. A fridge in the room would have been useful.
The staff was amazing, they go above and beyond! Great location. And its pet friendly
