The hotel was only a couple minutes from the disembarkation point. It is near a trolley stop with easy access to the French Quarter, across the street from Harrah's Casino, and only a block from Mothers for a great breakfast. We left our bags with the bellman who was very friendly and helpful. We spent time walking in French Quarter, and got a call a few hours later that room was ready. It was convenient to Biersch Brewery and Steakhouse, Manning's Restaurant and many others.

Loved staying at this hotel, the service was great, had a great room service menu!

the hotel was great, the staff was great, the location very good. My only complain was staying connected to Wifi on my phone.

It was good close to tourist attractions, The room is large and clean, the only disappointment was that they don't have a swimming pool yet they charged a resort fee.

The location is excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms are a nice size and nicely appointed. Warning- the blow dryer is weak and you have to maintain a tight grip, so your hand gets tired quickly if you have thick hair. While it was relativity clean some of the hardware was rusting on the doors and it was dusty ( just annoying when the room was over $400/night ). The casino is a nice size and again EVERYONE is very nice and helpful!!! Would stay here again !!!

It was a great stay. Beautiful room. With nice luxuries and a great view of the river. Booked in advance and saved!!!!! Loved it!

Hotel was very clean but the room had some stains. Staff was very friendly and seemed to be genuine with their service. Only real negative was casino staff. More then one employee seemed irritated with helping not to mention to be at work in general.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Clean. The tub in the bathroom was amazingly huge. Definitely will be staying there again.

The hotel we located appropriately from a convenice standpoint but the service was lousy. I upgraded to a suite but there was no TV service and had to move to another room. Also ordered room service but they were out of the two items I wanted to order. Never had such experiences in hotels before.

Everywhere about this hotel speaks MONEY($$$$) COMING IN TO Harrah's but nothing going out for CUSTOMER COMFORT! Where is the fresh fruit or lollipos(candy) in th lobby? Why are sheets not changed daily or at least every other day? The shower was draining ever so slowly until I was standing in 6 inch water before I was finished showering! I called room service and attendant came and FIXED the problem. Next day same problem so I just decided to spend the rest of my showers standing in 6 inch water not draining properly. This operation makes TOO MUCH CASINO $$$$ to run an operation this CHINTZY A FASHION!!! Bobby Jones

Liked the hotel although carpet was worn. The sink drain needed to be cleaned out badly. The casino was so tight it was impossible to win even a little. The rooms were spacious and the staff was very nice.

As Hotel's go it was pretty good and roomy. My only complaints were that the casino staff was unattentive and I never received a drink I ordered and the dealers had no way of requesting drink service.

Overall, the room was very good. Twice we had to request face cloths . I requested wi-fi the first day but the staff did not explain about the code written on the card that holds the key so therefore I was not able to get access until I finally asked about it on the third day. It would have helped if if the check in people would have explained this. I did receive access on the third day when I inquired about it.

The hotel let us check in early (before designated check in time) at no extra cost. Very nice rooms and comfy beds. Our room didn't have a very good view but we weren't facing the river. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was clean. The staff warm and friendly. We were out late one night and tried to get into the hotel at an entrance with a long line. The worker was checking people's ID's. so we tried to ever they another door and tried to show our room key as proof we were guest and not party goers. The sec guard a gentleman in a yellow jkt. Denied us entry and was very nasty. My companion and I are both over 40. Had a room key and just wanted to get to out room. After a full day of sight seeing. We had to exit walk all the way to another entrance with no line. My only complaint. But I felt that was serious enough to complain.

The convenience of Harrah's is great. Located a short walk to Bourbon Street, it was a great convenience, and afforded us an opportunity to walk some of the rich, wonderful food we ate. Also it gave us a chance to wander around and meet the locals. The hotel staff were helpful and couldn't do enough for you. I would definitely return to Harrah's. Pillows are comfy too.

they charged me a $50 fee for a late check-out at 1pm. I was a bit annoyed. Have never had that happen.

But not worth $750 a night Very nice hotel but way over priced

I've stayed at Harrah properties in the past, NOLA, Vegas, etc. I traveled to NOLA for a work-related convention, staying just one night. My flight landed in the morning, so I arrived at the hotel around 11am, wishing to check in and just place my bag in my room, then head to the convention. I was told that checking in prior to 4pm would incur a $30 fee. Now, the amount isn't the issue, but the principle behind it frustrated me. The host (which was nice by the way, and just doing her job), informed me that Harrah's stopped allowing early check-ins (without a fee) a few months ago. I asked around and others (non-employees) said they thought they changed the policy so that people would go gamble in the casino instead of go to their room early. My suspicion is that most people who wish to stay at a hotel-casino, when there's only one main casino in the city, will eventually play (which I did, multiple times). I also asked the host if there were any rooms available at 11am and she replied "yes," so it wasn't a matter of having availability. Either way, I had the bellhop store my bag, gave him $20 in tips (a better use than giving it to the company), and went on my way, only to return 5 hours later so I could finally check into my room, put my bag up, then immediately go back down and go to their casino. To some, this may be a petty issue, but with so many hotels within walking distance, I was surprised and disappointed that the level of customer service regarding Harrah's new policy has taken priority. The staff, accommodations, location, etc. was good, similar to any of the other hotels within a block (Loews, The W Hotel, Hilton, etc.). Needless to say, I will not be returning to a Harrah's property for lodging...they can continue taking my money at the table games...

We paid $389 per night up front for a Deluxe King NonSmoking room. All of this was listed on our room confirmation we received from. Upon check-in at we were told our room would be SMOKING! They said they did NOT GUARANTEE reservations made thru discount travel sites. We said you sell your product to and they sell on your behalf they were finally convinced after 15min to give us a non-smoking room (telling us we had bumped someone else from their non-smoking room) Check-in time is 4pm our room was not ready til 6pm. Defintitely not worth the $389 per night we paid.
