Fantastic Setting for Group of Ten
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a fantastic long weekend with our adult children and some significant others (group of ten). The main house had 5 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. There are two other buildings on the property if you need additional accommodations. These were unoccupied while we were there, so we enjoyed the privacy of the entire property.
The main house has its own private tavern - such a fun and unique gathering space. Worked especially well for us as my son is a professional bartender, ha. We loved learning the history of the famous guests!
We took full advantage of the entire space - cooked our meals in the kitchen (there is also a butler's pantry with an industrial icemaker); games in the parlor; a formal dinner in the dining room; and smores at the outdoor firepits.
Great proximity to Colonial Williamsburg and Bush Gardens (about 30 min drive) and easy/central location for those of us driving from DC, Raleigh, and Wilmington, NC.
Host was prompt and gracious with questions. Cannot recommend highly enough for a group. Hope to be back!

Awesome!
Place was wonderful. The tavern that is attached is a great plus. The web site does not do the place justice. We were in awe of how wonderful this place is. A special thank you to the host for helping us on a Sunday night. Just super!

Superb
We absolutely loved our stay at the New Kent Ordinary! It was clean, comfortable and had every amenity plus added bonus of your own Tavern. The Ordinary has been beautifully restored and maintained. Our little band of history buffs couldn’t have imagined a better place to stay while visiting Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Thank you for making it available to rent Pamela!
