Beautiful View - Great House with 3 floors - perfect for large groups of adults and older children - Very Clean.The downstairs patio needs a handrail - we did not usethat area because we had small children with us.Overall we had a really good time.

Great to be amongst the greenery of Lake James. The home gave us a great family base to meet up from around the globe to celebrate a new family arrival. It gave us the right room combinations, good amenities.

Comfortable vacation home

Great layout with many bedrooms and good common areas. Nicely equipped with games, books, very well stocked kitchen and comfortable bedding and towels. Nice dock with kayaks and life jackets! Great home.

We were in the area for a family wedding. The house was beautifully decorated with wonderful areas to cozy up and visit. It was perfect for our group.

Beautiful property

We enjoyed relaxing as family and friends at this property. The space was comfortable and the kitchen worked well for our group of 9. We loved the views as well and the spaces met our needs. The area was fun to explore as well and we were able to spend a lot of time outdoors. Overall, it was an awesome trip!

Beautiful lake and great house for a large family

Nice sized living room and well stocked kitchen, convenient to have living areas on two floors, fun lake toys (kayaks and floats), steps were numerous but not that bad for an active group, peaceful part of the lake convenient to Bear Creek marina, quiet gated community. Would definitely do another family vacation here!!!

Amazing property on Lake James!

This rental was in the perfect location with stunning views of the lake. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax & share meals. The house was well stocked and had everything we could possibly need. We are thinking of making this an annual trip and would absolutely book here again!

Great family vacation hangout

We loved the uniqueness of the house and views of Lake James and Shortoff mountain. The dock and kayaks made a hot summer day enjoyable. Plenty of space to have an evening of board games and conversation.

Lovely Lake Cottage

Wonderful home for a lake adventure with family or friends. Accommodations were delightful with comfortable beds and living areas. Kitchen is well stocked with high quality appliances and cookware. This home was truly a special place for our family’s visit.

Fun at the lake`

We had a great time at this beautiful house on Lake James! Everything was exactly as described. Excellent location, only about an hour away from Asheville, kitchen had great utensils and cookware. House was immaculate when we checked in and check out was a breeze. We will definitely be looking to stay here again.

Amazing

This house was amazing. We spent Christmas here as a family, and loved everything. The house was so well stocked (probably the best we have ever stayed in). The views are breathtaking the surround sound system was great for Christmas music. The steps down to the lake are intense BUT the host describes them well. This house was exactly what we wanted and soooo much more… Great place book toda.

Great Views!

The property was great! Really nice and clean. The owner was responsive and had a lot of information in a binder when we checked in. There are quite a few steps to the dock, but the views from the house are beautiful!

The Octagon at Lake James

Beautiful and unique house with all of the amenities needed for a great weekend. Views from the decks were amazing. Steps down to the water were numerous and the hike back up was challenging. Kayaks were great! Overall, great weekend.

Great view

Loved the property , clean, quiet area and beautiful views of lake and mountains. If only they didn’t have so many stairs. That’s the only negative to this property.
