The door code provided by Vacasa didn't work so we had to call the after hours number. The Vacasa representative laughed and told us we were the fourth call in a row who could not get into their rental units that night. After numerous attempts with various codes, we were finally able to access the unit. The lock continued to have issues and two days into our stay, it completely quit working. The Vacasa office initially said it would be at least two hours before maintenance could get to it because they only had one maintenance person. After emphasizing the need to have it addressed immediately, the maintenance guy showed up within an hour and replaced the lock. While there, he kindly agreed to also address another issue we had reported to Vacasa the morning after our arrival. The sliding glass door to the patio from the main living space would not open. To access the patio, you had to use the sliding glass door from the primary bedroom, and 'swim' through the vertical blinds because they would not open/close.
Overall the unit was not clean upon arrival. The kitchen had been updated nicely but was sparsely furnished, i.e. no regular, microwave safe coffee mugs. Some of the towels were thread bare and stained.
The patio only had 2 chairs. This was a 3 bedroom unit, with space for 6, why only have 2 chairs?
The decor was bright, cute and very beachy. Just disappointing the cleaning, maintenance and furnishings were below par.
