The Meritage Resort and Spa

Not the sexiest setting in Napa but everything was lovely, especially the gentleman who brought our bags to our room, Sebastian I believe. My main issue was the bathroom door which wouldn’t stay closed, and the toilet area has no privacy. Also there is only one full length mirror with about a 4 inch plank of wood going through the middle of it. There was also an ottoman in front (tearing), so getting dressed was a littl challenging. I would have liked my room to feel a little less like a business hotel. The grounds have something for everyone. Looking forward to seeing it when the expansion is done.

Needed a place to stay near Napa and came across the Meritage. Strangely one of the only Hotels that offers double beds in a room. Anyways, plans changed rapidly due to a cancelled concert, so thought this place has a spa - lets do that instead. We were able to get spa reservations the same day! Arrived to the hotel and not quite sure why all the young men were standing in front of the hotel. When I stated I was checking in they motioned to me to find a parking spot which ended up being a good distance away. I had recently had knee surgery and had to lug my bag up the hill back to the entrance. Come to find out the young men were valets - not a good first impression. No one offered to help with my bag and I limped along into the hotel to the desk. Check in was easy - no issues and the concierge had one of the valets help me with my bag (finally!). Arriving to the room - I was a bit puzzled looking one of the double beds. It had the appearance of lumpy mashed potatoes. Really. The valet looked at it and smirked. The duvet had apparently lumped the filling into small mounds within the batting across the spread. I would have been embarrassed to have left the bed made in that condition. The other double bed looked "normal". Otherwise the room was no nonsense. The standouts here are the spa and the walk in the morning around the adjoining vineyard. Both were spectacular! Full service spa - Jacuzzi, steam, relaxation room and great attentive service.

The view from the balcony of the vineyard was amazing.

We were only there overnight so it was a quick trip! I have to say the spa was the best part of our whole trip one of the best facials I've ever received!

Would not recommend the restaurant, serberse was sloe, food was cold,

Hotel is very nice. Took them extended time (couple of hours) to get our room ready and we also had an issue with not being able to even get a buffet breakfast. Would expect much more for the price you pay. Don't see us returning to that hotel.

The hotel location is great!! Only minutes away from downtown and other stores/restaurants

Very loud , didn't get a good night sleep . My room was on the first floor , I heard everything .

Beautiful resort! Wonderful brunch with bottomless mimosas--multiple fresh fruit and juice to mix and match and make your own. My friend and I enjoyed spa facials and messages. It was a much needed girlfriend get-a-way. Beds were extremely comfortable too!

Nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Very clean. Nothing to complain about except it's abbot odd that it's located behind an office park area and not really a cool location. Next time I'd rather stay closer to dt napa and oxbow market.

We had a great time. Even though the weather was drizzling. The conceirge was helpful in planning a rainy dayitenerary for us. The DVD selection and popcorn in the room after dinner was a nice touch with kids. The bowling alley was a blast. We enjoyed being pampered for the weekend.

They're service oriented, willing to help, and very nice They were great and everyone was very nice!

We were disappointed with the area of where the hotel is located. It is right next to an executive warehouse park. The hotel looks and feels a lot like an apartment building and our upgraded room had the view of the nearby vineyard, after you looked past the parking lot outside of our balcony. The hotel staff was kind, however, we observed one staff member who was short and rather rude when we checked in. I would say this hotel is like the Disney of Napa, with an on-site club and mammoth hallways of multiple in room dining leftovers outside of each room. Would never return to this hotel as this is not at all what we would have expected in Napa.

The hotel was perfect! The room was larger than I expect and the beds were very comfortable. In the back of the property there was a beautiful vineyard! It was nice to have a morning walk or jog. There is an amazing cave like spa under the vineyard! I would highly recommend getting something done. It was really a great experience!

This hotel is literally perfect! From the views, to the staff, to the all over atmosphere. I cannot wait to stay here again!

When we got to the hotel it was the perfect oasis. It has a beautiful property with a beautiful view from the room and the pool. We were greeted with a bottle of wine in our room. We went for a tasting right before we went to the spa. It was perfect. They also have on site a nice bar and a bowling alley. My only complaint really is that the walls are thin and a group next to us had a crying baby for most of the night. While it was irritating, it wasn't irritating enough for me to complain and change rooms.

The place was great but I feel that I did not get the value that I was hoping. We upgraded our room thinking it would be amazing to overlook the vineyard but found that it was just ok. Our turn down add on was the bottle with 2 glasses nothing special. Spa was great and location was beautiful but just felt that our money could have been spent better somewhere else.

every time the cleaning woman comes she turns down the air condition and when we get in its like there was an oven. The bathroom fawsett handles were both broken and they had them fixed the last day. the shower head is on the wrong side and you had to get in to open it, either you freeze or burn before you adjust the water tempature. The staff are friendly and the grounds nice.

It's near an office park and that's what it really felt like. It's a much bigger complex than I anticipated. Pool is small with pretty limited lounge space, so if you don't claim your spot by about 10:30 a.m., you're not going to get any pool time. Very limited late night room service menu. Really, really expensive for the experience.

Overall, we liked the place. It is about 3 to 4 miles away from downtown Napa and that's exactly what we're looking for to get away from. The location is easy to get on the highway to the wineries. The first day we arrived and assigned a room in the main building. It is sort of an older building I guess. When we took a shower in the room, the hot water was not forthcoming easily and we essentially had a lukewarm shower. I spoke to the front desk and they upgraded us to a newer build 4. There everything went well. So ask for stay in the new building....
