The Charles was fantastic!!! Arrival was welcoming, as though we were old time friends. The main part of the house was clearly recently remodeled and painted, all while keeping with the old time charm of the house. Our room was large, and we never felt cramped. Breakfast was so good that we kept bringing it up during the day. And the scones are not to be missed!!! It is now our go to place in Napa. Could not recommend higher.

We wanted a night away, last second and found The Charles. We stayed in room 100,little private cottage and it was exactly what we wanted. Well decorated,clean,quiet, private,centrally located.....Breakfast was delicious and the host was wonderful! Only suggestion I have is get a maintenance guy in there to tighten the faucets. We would definitely come back next time we're in town.

I have stayed at hotels, Airbnb’s and bed and breakfasts all over the world. I would hold this place in the very top tier of them all. The purpose of my trip was to ask the girl of my dreams to marry me. This place was so beautiful, and court yard, fountains, fire pits, and landscaping were such, that our first night there, of all the places in Napa, I decided to propose to her here. This place is a must stay for the traveler who knows how to chose.
