Typically when on business in Myrtle Beach, I prefer to stay on the beach, especially during the fall/winter when the rates are so low, but this trip I was traveling with 5 other people. This hotel was very convenient to the office I was visiting, very close to Broadway at the Beach, but not that far from other places I frequent like the Christmas Mouse or restaurants on Ocean Blvd. Within walking distance of a few restaurants like Mellow Mushroom. Rooms were cute and decorated in a trendy/cute way Hotel has a decent fitness room and the lobby was attractive with a little "market" for those late night munchies. Bed was very comfortable and front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.
Good stay friendly staff!! Stay was short but nice visited the beach during our stay. Hotel gave me directions and they were perfect. Will definitely come back to this hotel! Great location and close to other attractions
I travel quite a bit for business being a Gold member with Marriott and a Platinum member with Hilton. Being my first visit to this Marriott location and since it was a pleasure trip I like to stay open minded. Overall the location was OK. Somewhat dated but not to the point of not coming back. What did send me to the front desk was a dog that was left in the room across the hall at @ 5:30 PM that continuously barked. it barked so loud that other folks were coming out of their rooms to find out where this dog was. it could be heard as soon as the elevator door opened on that floor; dreadful and unbelievable! So, I finally had to go to the front desk where I met Ke-Ke. Ke-Ke responded with "We don't allow dogs in this hotel. " "Well" , I said, "You have one here and I do not plan on listening to it all night." Ke-Ke further explained that she received three calls on the issue, a supervisor was not working that shift and she could not reach anyone. So why is a manager not even on call? Nuts! I explained to Ke-Ke that when I return from dinner I expected the dog to be removed or I would be looking to move to another floor. When I returned Ke-Ke stepped up and handled the issue. She changed my room, paid for my breakfast the next morning and said the owner would be fined $250.00 as well as be asked to leave. I am still uncertain if I would stay here again due to the management situation. I appreciate Ke-Ke trying to do the right thing with no management support.
The customer service was excellent - Toni Glover in particular was extremely helpful.. When I couldn't get multiple documents to print in the business center, Toni offered to print them out for me. She printed out all the copies I needed and then stapled them for me. Thanks to Toni assistance, I made it to my meeting on time with the necessary information. She should be recognized by Marriott management.
right across from Broadway at the Beach (ten minute walk across one busy street). not fancy, but clean and relativity new. service was good. no breakfast included. comfy bed. good water pressure and lots of hot water. remote for the TV needed new batteries and when i reported that they were replace by the time we got back that night.
This place claims to be updated, and when you walk in it looks good. But when you get to your room, don't be surprised to find an outdated bathroom and a strong musty/ moldy smell when you try to turn the AC on. If I didn't have to breathe it might be ok. But I do have to breathe. I think there's a major. Mold problem in the AC units that needs to be addresses that goes way beyond painting and new carpet and calling it a remodel.
This was our second time staying here and it didn't disappoint! This time Keke made sure to take awesome care of us! She made me feel welcome and was cheerful through the entire check in process! We will return!
The popcorn ceiling of this hotel are dingy. The bathroom floor was sticky. There was a broken handle on the bathroom. The curtain rings also had mildew on them. The beds were clean and comfortable. The outside of the hotel was also run down. The location is ok not great it is across the street from the board walk and about a 7 minute drive to beach parking. If you wake up early you can get a parking spot at the beach, but you have to pay for beach parking. Parking at the hotel is free and there are plenty of parking spaces. The hotel was quiet, but a little cramped for a family. The hallways also smelled of mildew. The price is very affordable, but it reflects the accommodations.
There are good and bad things about this hotel. I will of course start with the good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool and grounds are well maintained. The location to Boardwalk at the Beach can't be beat. My complaints would be the fact that the hotel needs an update to its beds, hallways and elevator and definitely their plumbing. I also would have enjoyed a bigger selection for breakfast. Other than those things we enjoyed our stay.
Keke the receptionist was awesome! She greeted us with a huge smile and great customer service. Her friendliness was the beginning to a great honeymoon. Rooms were clean. I would fed recommend this hotel!
