The popcorn ceiling of this hotel are dingy. The bathroom floor was sticky. There was a broken handle on the bathroom. The curtain rings also had mildew on them. The beds were clean and comfortable. The outside of the hotel was also run down. The location is ok not great it is across the street from the board walk and about a 7 minute drive to beach parking. If you wake up early you can get a parking spot at the beach, but you have to pay for beach parking. Parking at the hotel is free and there are plenty of parking spaces. The hotel was quiet, but a little cramped for a family. The hallways also smelled of mildew. The price is very affordable, but it reflects the accommodations.
There are good and bad things about this hotel. I will of course start with the good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool and grounds are well maintained. The location to Boardwalk at the Beach can't be beat. My complaints would be the fact that the hotel needs an update to its beds, hallways and elevator and definitely their plumbing. I also would have enjoyed a bigger selection for breakfast. Other than those things we enjoyed our stay.
Keke the receptionist was awesome! She greeted us with a huge smile and great customer service. Her friendliness was the beginning to a great honeymoon. Rooms were clean. I would fed recommend this hotel!
I stayed at this location this weekend with my husband and 3 kids. I must say that despite some items i feel may have been lacking from the rooms, I was pleased with our stay and especially with the staff. We stayed for 4 nights and after 2 nights, started to get a little cramped with the kids. I spoke with KeKe at the front desk who had been extremely helpful from my check-in until the last night she worked while we were there. I must say to all management for this hotel that I have worked as a customer service manager and KeKe does an excellent job holding the values and providing the service that your customers deserve. She went above and beyond each time we reached out to her for assistance with something as simple as a restaurant recommendation to upgrading our accommodations. We take this trip yearly and I made sure to let her know that because of her efforts, we would consider this location first. We are also pleased with the cleanliness of our rooms (I'm a neat freak), and even around the pool area. The kids really enjoyed themselves. If I had to make any negative comments, it would just be that the sinks are not in the bathroom, leaving only the toilet as storage for clothing items when you want to dress right out of the shower.
Very pretty property. But no free breakfast. Free Wi-Fi is pretty good, though. Also, no coffee in the lobby in the mornings. Instead, they have a bistro that serves as a bar, breakfast, Starbucks, lunch, & dinner spot. Prices are resort level high. No microwave in your room, either, but I did find one near the ice machine. The refrigerator in the room was very small, too. Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. Hallways and common areas are in good shape. Pool is small, but you probably came to Myrtle Beach for the beach. Very nice to have the big Broadway at the Beach shopping center right across the street! You are NOT walking to the beach from here, though.
This is the first negative review I've ever written. Look, I understand Myrtle is a tourist spot this time of year. But I stay at this hotel a pretty good bit for business as I'm sure others do as well. As a Marriott Platinum Elite Member, I'm extremely disappointed at the check in desk. The dude working tonight didn't even look me in my eye or acknowledge me. He just asked my last name and said "I see you checked in by mobile check in" and just handed me the key and said, "room number xyz". This guy never even called me by my name, never acknowledged being a Marriott Member and was extremely dismissive. It was kind of like I was bothering him or something even though nobody else was checking in or even at the front desk. I asked him if my room was an upgraded room (Platinum Elite get an upgraded room) and he looked at me like I was crazy. Not only did he look at me like I was crazy, he just said no. I asked him if they were available and he said "no." At this point I didn't even bother explaining why I asked. I was tired I just wanted to get to my room. I'm extremely dissatisfied with this hotel. It's unfortunate.
My family and I arrived earlier than expected, and it was a nice surprise that our room was ready. Toni at the front desk was so pleasant and welcoming. She answered all my questions throughout our stay. All of the staff was very attentive. The hotel was very clean, and modern. I love the convenience of the hotel to Broadway at the Beach and to most Myrtle Beach attractions. The beach was a short drive down the street. The rooms were spacious, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The beds were probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept on while away from home. We had a wonderful 3 night stay and will be back. Thank you for the great hospitality.
Arrived to discover my room was already given to someone else with a similar last name. But was quickly given another room. Although an oversight I was a little uneasy after that. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable and overall this hotel was quite. The breakfast although you pay for it was fantastic!
I took my 3 grandchildren to Broadway at the Beach last week. I wanted 2 rooms that joined together. The staff was so helpful and nice. The pool was clean and cool. The air conditioner was very cold it was wonderful. We did not eat breakfast at the Courtyard because there were local places with better breakfast. Be advised that is hotel is across the street from the BrOADWAY, Hover, there is ample parking at Broadway, or you can walk about 3 minutes across the street. For the price, this is a great stay.
My family and I stayed here during s week my son had basketball tournament games. It was very convenient to get to the sports center (about 3-5 min away). And the hotel was very very accommodating to request for upgrades as well as a later check out. The rooms were pretty clean. We stayed in two different rooms. The first one only had to beds and it was cool but the second one had two beds and a pull out coach in the living room area and a bedroom with a California king bed in it. The room was more than enough space for my family. I loved it!!! The only downside is that the bathroom/sink area could use more space as well as an upgrade. We never used the pool (to busy with games) and the eating area was cool too. We o my got to use it once. The staff was very pleasant and helpful at all times. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when in town.
