Holiday Inn Montgomery one of the cleanest hotels in Montgomery. Location is very convenient. Staff is definitely courteous. Restaurant serves yummiest food but is very expensive though. It makes sense to eat elsewhere.
This is hotel is quite nice. It has everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Here’s my disappointment, I selected this hotel because it said it offered airport shuttle service. Well it does, but only 8 AM to 5 PM. Come on hotel management, add that to your information.
A lively group of screaming clients ascended to the fourth floor near our room. Woke us up with their noise and banging walls- we called front desk several times and no security was sent - asked for adjustment but never received a call or communication from Holiday Inn Montgomery Airport South. great place to stop if you don't want to get a few hours of peaceful sleep.
The hotel is decent for the holiday inn brand and standard amenities . I have no issues in this department. I drive a display vehicle. It requires 6 parking spaces, which i understand is considerable. Upon arrive I was asked to relocate to a dirt lot .25 miles away. I was told ....due to capacity issues in the lot. The lot never filled up....and 2 tour busses and and charter buss with trailer parked in the lot. Still, the lot never filled more than half full. I was told busses and trailers are allowed but not trucks and trailers. Just disappointed.
The staff is a mess here. As soon as i walked in i could tell they were operating in complete confusion. I checked in and got a room that was not what I reserved then I go back downstairs and find out that they gave the next guy the same room whom I passed getting off the elevator. They gave me a 2 queen room like I reserved then gave me 2 free breakfasts which was a nice gesture. The next morning I was preparing to head to breakfast downstairs when they had a fire and evacuated so I didn't get to use the free breakfast. Once I returned to my room and got in the shower, I noticed that there was hair everywhere in the shower and the curtain and walls were absolutely filthy. Based on my limited interaction with this place it would be safe to assume that there's a lot more shady things going on behind the scene. I'm actually kinda glad I didn't eat here. I am an IHG gold member and am staying here under reward points so I frequent IHG hotels and this one is the lowest quality I have ever experienced. If you're looking for a decent place here I would suggest the holiday inn express off of I-85. They have their stuff together.
Curtis is by far the nicest person I've ever met at a hotel. He is disciplined and esteemed, traits he gained from his service in the military. Curtis made my stay at this hotel enjoyable, during the busiest time for the hotel, as families piled in for the Air Force OTS graduation. He went above and beyond what he was required to make sure my friends and I had a comfortable stay. I've read reviews about him being rude, and I believe this is a fault of the customer's own, not having the common sense of understanding and patience. I'm realizing that even the nicest people can have the most untruthful reviews placed on them, by people who do not acknowledge and appreciate their efforts. The hospitality business is no easy thing, and isn't for everyone to work in. Curtis truly felt like a friend. He never let anything go without trying it first. In a world where we forget ourselves behind technology and current events, Curtis brings us back into it with his kind smile, his open personality, and pursuit to make things right. I 10/10 would recommend seeing Curtis. He is always there.
A group of my friends and I were in a very tough situation where we were basically scammed out of our last hotel (and it didn't help someone literally got mugged next door to us there either). A long story short, Curtis was very professional and worked with us to ensure that we would not share a similar experience, even despite hurricane Harvey still blowing in a ton of rain and them being nearly booked entirely. He definitely has converted me to become a loyal Holiday Inn customer anywhere I go and if I ever make a trip back to Montgomery, Alabama I will definitely be checking into this hotel. Also as a side note for Curtis, we loved the restaurant you recommended for us! Curtis is a true life saver!
We were on our way home after evacuating from Irma. From the minute we stepped in the door, we were greeted warmly and taken care of. Tira was so helpful and cheerful. The waitstaff was equally friendly and helpful. We sat next to a cantankerous older couple and the staff was so professional. I would definitely stay there again.
Whilst there have been heart-warming and extremely compassionate gestures towards Florida evacuees during this distressing and uncertain period, sadly this was not the case with the Holiday Inn Montgomery airport. After spending more than 12 hours on the road trying to evacuate from Naples, Fl, we were unable to make our reservation at the hotel. The manager Curtis Graves was extremely rude and charged us for a full night. He then proceeded to deceitfully deny that he had the authority to waive this. His lack of flexibility given the circumstances was shocking especially in view of the consistent approach by hotels to offer full refunds in response to the difficulties people are experiencing as a result of Irma. A very poor reflection on Holiday Inn Montgomery Airport South and the Holiday Inn chain. Strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.
I am the Task Force Leader for California Task Force 1 (CA-TF1). We are an 80 person Urban Search and Rescue Team. We are en route to Florida to pre-stage for Hurricane Irma. At the hotel we ate dinner in a conference room set up by Mark. Jennifer was our waitress and did an amazing job keeping the food coming to the tables for a large group of hungry firefighters. Jennifer provided great customer service with a genuine smile on her face. It is obvious Jennifer loves her position. If you eat a meal at this Holiday Inn, request Jennifer. The hotel is very clean and the entire staff is kind and helpful. As you can imagine, we had quite a few rooms and there were zero issues.
