Second Time

This is our second time staying here and the next trip is already booked. The location is amazing, the amenities are great, and the room is perfect for our family. We enjoy coffee/breakfast on the balcony - usually dolphins can be seen swimming by. The area is great for morning walks. There are two different pools, so a lot of space. Beach is literally right across the street. Can’t say enough good things and we obviously love it because we keep coming back to the same place.

The location of this place is absolutely perfect! The pools were good, only complaint would be wishing the outside pool was heated. We had a few hiccups which were resolved. Would consider staying here again.

Updated unit with great location- but cleanliness is a concern!

My family and I had the opportunity to visit Destin for the first time a couple weeks ago. We booked this unit due to location and what appeared to be a very clean and updated unit. Everything was smooth for the check in process - however once checked in and getting settled - we noticed the sheets on nearly every bed were dirty with a mix of sand, dirt and what appeared to be pubic hair. We also noted the pull out sofa in the living area was broken so the head of the bed did not stay up - but had to be propped up by the pillows from the couch to accommodate two of our guests. We called the property mgmt company and it was a couple hours before we were able to get clean sheets which required us to not be able to go to sleep - but rather stay up late and change all sheets on the beds in the unit. What a terrible way to start a vacation! While not the fault of the property or unit owners- this was simply unacceptable. It wasn’t until Wed that the sofa bed issue was resolved when an external company came to perform a mechanism swap. The other issue with the unit is the two chairs in the main living area are very dirty - especially on the arms and front of the chairs. RealJoy did reach out to discuss how they could rectify the issue and we discussed an appropriate compensation for the inconvenience. While they did issue a partial refund - I didn’t think the refund was commensurate with the inconvenience and frustration.

Amazing location!

I will start with the good. The location and views were spectactular! The condo was larger than expected and has all the amenities you need! When we arrived, at first glance it is beautifully decorated and great floor plan. Then we started to notice that the condo was actually not very clean. There was already sand on the floors, i found a pill on the bedroom floor( could be real bad if a small child picked it up) and I found an earring back on the bathroom floor. To me this shows the floors were done in haste or not at all. The bedroom clock had bo battery, the bedside lamps should have 3 way bulbs but instead they were very dim bulbs. The tv console was dusty. The living room furniture arms are dingy and the toss pillows had stains . One being what looks like blood! The balcony is an awesome feature. We watched pelicans and osprey fly by constantly. We also were lucky to see a school of stingrays in the water. Highly recommend u bring binoculars! The wicker patio furniture is all tattered and broken and the cushions are disgusting. The living room slider is missing a handle and is super tough to open so hope you eat your wheaties! The master slider does have a handle and was easier to open but does not lock. I write all this becaus i paid more than my mortgage to stay 5 days and all those minor details that cost little to fix, would make a big difference. Get some fabric cleaner and scrub the stains or spend the $ and clean the furniture once a year!

Family Trip

Great area for families. The street out front can be really busy trying to go places by vehicle, but location is amazing for beach access. We will definitely book this place again.

Best location

This was our most relaxing trip yet. 1 min walk to the beach and had options of heated pool and hot tub. Beds were comfortable and the patio view was beautiful

This was a great location with great beach access and ocean view. Nothing better than being able to watch the sunrise and sunset over the ocean from the balcony. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.

Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at the Majestic Sun! The condo is beautifully decorated and clean. We were impressed with the new appliances and felt the kitchen was fully stocked to prepare the meals we ate there. The patio furniture is very nice and made for enjoyable dinners and sunsets on the balcony. We were surprised to find some beach toys and chairs that were available for our use. This was wonderful being that we did not have our own. The beds were very comfortable, but the linens could do with a refresh as they had some stains. We didn’t need to contact RealJoy Vacations during our time, but appreciated the rental portal and text messages checking in.

Wonderful Place!

At the time we booked this place, it only had one review because I think it was either under new ownership or had just been renovated (I'm totally speculating here). This made me nervous to book as I rely on these reviews from others but I'm SO GLAD I DID!!! Everything was really nice in the condo. Decor was warm/inviting, beds comfortable, location great and my absolute favorite thing was the outdoor patio furniture. It was nice to have both a table to eat at outside AND two very comfortable lounge chairs to enjoy the sunrise/sunsets in. I'd also point out that in past places we have visited in similar condo towers the wait for the elevator had been a problem. This was NOT the case here. If we had to wait, it wasn't long at all. Access to the beach was very close and easy. My husband and my two young children had a great week! Highly recommend.
