Nice, quiet room in a hotel with history.
This was our first time staying in the Minneapolis area and we didn’t know the history of the hotel before our stay. Noticing some quirky features of the building, we took to google and found that it had originally been the Minneapolis Athletic Club, built in 1915. You can find a brief history and some old photos online if you’re interested. That said, the rooms have been updated and are cute and comfortable. We had a corner room which was larger than expected and surpassed our expectations. My only complaint is that the water took a VERY long time to warm up but once it did, it was hot and water pressure was great. Hotel staff was very friendly and the surrounding area was quiet and easy to navigate. The hotel is connected to the Skyway system which was unique and interesting to navigate. I would absolutely stay here again.

Overall it was a good experience. The staff was great, however, the service was slow. Almost as if they needed a few more people. Still trying to figure out why I was charged $86.25 for a $75.00 incidental deposit. Asked for a receipt and they said they emailed it, twice, still no explanation. So…..there’s that. But everything else, awesome. Still recommend the stay.

We booked in Expedia for convenience but when we were about to check in, the front desk told us that they couldn’t see the confirmation number even tho it was confirmed to me. The front desk was also rude to us to say that we were in the wrong place. It was really such a hassle and waste of time. There is no complimentary given to us.
