This was our first time to Lake Anna & we'll definitely be back! This house is in a beautiful setting - a quiet neighborhood with lots of trees & privacy and a view down to the lake. The home has all the essentials: fully equipped kitchen, a great deck & fantastic screened porch, hammock, fire pit, wifi, easy parking on a paved driveway. We came for a girls' getaway, but it would definitely work for families (kids' play area outside, water table on the deck, a crib, etc.) We also enjoyed using the 2 kayaks available! We weren't working, but the wifi worked well for streaming and we had good access for our phones (Verizon).
A few FYIs for future renters: this seems like primarily a rental property - all the essentials were very clean (kitchen, bathrooms, linens), but the home is overdue for a deep clean (dirty baseboards, cobwebs in corners, etc.) and the furniture shows a bit of wear. Towels are provided, but just one set per sleeping spot - so if you need/want more or prefer higher grade towels, bring your own. The kitchen has a full range of spices, but bring Ziplocs, aluminum foil, cooking oil, etc. There's a Food Lion 15 minutes away.
The property manager was responsive the day we checked in, but then never replied to a question a few days later. The gas grill wouldn't light and the screened doors to the deck have issues & didn't keep bugs out. A welcome book would be helpful (directions for the house, restaurants, things to do). But other than that, great stay!
