Middlebury Inn is always a class act with warm, helpful staff. Vermont rocks.

Room was very large. It even had 2 bathrooms. Overall the Inn could use some updating inside - old carpets, drapes and furnishings. The TV in the room was too small for such a large room. Hotel is very convenient to the college and town.

I loved the historic feel of the Inn, both as a whole and the indiviual rooms. Yet all the modern conveniences were there..

The hotel is best in Middlebury. It’s warm, charming and inviting.

I have gone to the Inn a few times. Its disappointing that it does not have the ambiance or charm of a Historic Inn. Rooms are plain. The only amenetie is the spa. The bar and rest. do not get many patrons, because they always close up early. Its not easy finding dinner in Middlebury at 8pm or 9pm. This time my room was behind the Hotel, in a motel type building. The doorway led out to parking lot. Microwave and frig. were part of the bathroom. There was a sitting area on one end of room and bed on the other. Felt like being in a motel. Especially when I wandered in around 8-9pm and could not get food or even a drink. The next 2 nights I stayed at an AMAZING inn just down the street. Middlebury Inn is just not worth the hype. Staying at the other place from now on.

Nice rooms. We were not in the main hotel, but rooms were more like a suite. Comfortable and clean. Restaurant in the hotel is awsome. Great food and atmosphere.

Our first room was a postage stamp size and the bath was tiny. We were staying for five days and I knew we couldn’t stand it for that long. The hotel did change our room arrangements and we were satisfied and grateful. It’s quaint and charming but not for an extended stay.

Best hotel in Middlebury. Its a classic property with charm and comfort.

Stay in mail building, not Anex building. Anex building has poor condition.

Beautiful renovated room in a historic hotel. We loved the afternoon tea and cookies. Great central location, walkable to downtown restaurants and college.

This is a classic charming hotel in the heart of Middlebury. I enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning soon.

This was my third visit in 30 years. Nice to see some things remain faithful to their principals.

The Inn looks beautiful from the outside, and it's located in a great part of town where you can walk to restaurants and shops. Hoever, the hotel itself is definitely dated. The furnishings looked tired, and it just seemed very old without being quaint.

They bumped us up to a bigger room which was real nice…only problem was that wifi wasn't working. When I called down to the desk the kid didn't know what to do and finally said (I'll let the manager know…tomorrow). I jokingly said I'd have to stay another night so that I can get online. My gripe: It was late at all… the manager could have been called to fix the wireless problem.
