Amazing Stay

I like to keep secrets when it comes to finding gems like this, but to benefit the host will share… We had an amazing time. The home was cozy and comfortable, offering all the expected amenities. We enjoyed watching the buggies go by from the living room and from the covered front porch. The game room was an added bonus. This home was super clean and well stocked. There were plenty of activities in the area to keep us entertained through out the day. I believe this was, by far, the best VRBO property I’ve stayed at over the years! Thanks for not only meeting our expectations, but exceeding them.

This property felt like home as I opened the door. The cleanliness was above and beyond. Very comfortable. I would certainly use this property again. Todd was very responsive quick to act put in grab bars before our arrival which was amazing.

Wonderful Stay!

This is a very well kept home with all the amenities of home! The option of using the bicycles was great and we used them to take the Pumpkin Vine trail to Shipshewana for lunch one day. The property is located on a busy street, and so the vehicle noise was more than we expected. Overall a 10/10!

Football trip

Propert was as advertised. Very clean. Very quiet area. Perfect for what we needed. Basement gameroom was great. Would definitely stay again. People we met at local restaurants were super nice and helpful too.

Great place

The property was clean and comfortable with a great game room in the basement. An added bonus was the availability to store and charge our e-bikes in the garage. Also we were able to take a safer route through the neighborhood across the street on our e-bikes in order to reach the Pumpkinvine Trail. (which is around 1/2 mile from the home. We also could watch the Amish buggies go down the street right out the front window. The property manager was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. Thank you for a great stay. Next time we want to stay longer!

Excellent home - perfect for our stay

Beautifully furnished home in Middlebury - close to Shipshewana and Nappanee where we had tickets to events at the Round Barn Theater and Blue Gate Theater. Todd was an excellent host and replied quickly to communication and provided full details for our stay. I highly recommend. We will stay here again.

Came for a concert at the Blue Gate. We absolutely love Middlebury and the surrounding area. Todds house is in a great location and very clean. We had a great time and will hopefully come again!

Everything You Could Ask For

This home has everything you could ever ask for in a VRBO. It's in a great location, in a peaceful neighborhood, with the best supplies of any short-term rental we have ever stayed at. There was even firewood for the pit! We stayed here while having our RV worked on and couldn't have chosen a better home. The bed was comfortable. Wi-Fi was great. Game room has pool table, foosball table and more. Mornings and evenings you can sit on the front porch and watch the horse and buggies go up and down the road. The back deck was large and a great place to relax with a cup of coffee. I highly recommend this home!

Wonderful stay!

This rental is even better in person! Absolutely spotless. Every room was comfortable. spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed a campfire in the backyard and watching the horse and buggies go by from the living room picture window. The house does sit on more of a main road but there was not much traffic noise and it was very easy to get in and out. There is a beautiful church across the street that is lovely to look at. Its an easy and scenic 10 minute drive to Shipshewana. The host sends an online guidebook that has so much information about the house and the area. There were 2 places in particular he recommended in Middlebury that we loved. First, dinner at the Village Inn. This is a humble little restaurant but the best meal we had during our stay! Delicious homemade food, great service and the best pie around! Also Rise and Roll bakery for donuts and other fun items. We also really enjoyed the Meno-Hof museum in Shipshewana. When we first arrived, the keypad started beeping continuously because it had a low battery, We were able to get in contact with the host immediately and someone was there within 5 minutes to change the battery, Great response time! We loved our stay and recommend this rental for couples, families, girls trips, etc.

Very nice property, in close proximity to everything. Beds were comfortable with clean bedding. Tv's had YouTubeTV with plenty of viewing options. Basement game room kept the kids busy. We will definitely be back to stay.

Owner was so thoughtful to leave 3 bikes in the garage since there were 3 of us. However, the road was too busy for us since we were inexperienced riders. We did see Amish riding their bikes and many horse and buggy from the front window.

This little property turned out to be one of the best Vrbo experiences my family has ever had. I can’t say enough about it—it checks all the boxes & then some! My husband & I, with our three children, came in for a Norte Dame football game & this house was perfect. It’s a fairly short drive to South Bend, but far enough away where we didn’t deal with crowds. Middlebury is fairly rural & as such, the peace & quiet was divine after a busy day out, with only the clip-clop of Amish buggies at night. Todd clearly took great care when preparing the property—it lacks nothing! He even had ziploc bags, which I used (I’ve been to properties that are literally empty). The house was clean as can be, the bedrooms were perfect for a family of five, but most of all—THE GAME ROOM!! We wound up spending all of our free time down there—my 12 year old is now a pool shark!! It was so much fun!! If you’re looking for a place to stay in this vicinity, do not hesitate to rent this property! It is well cared for, in a great neighborhood & Todd was incredibly communicative! If we return to ND, we will rent here again!

Great property for a traveling family!

We loved the home. It was very comfortable. The setting was in the country, yet near the shops. Close to where we grew up, so visiting family was easy. It's a beautiful area with a lot of beautiful homes. Great deck, fire pit, and game room in the basement! We will try and book this again next year.

Amazing! Exceeded our expectations.

Todd was very responsive and wonderful. The property is gorgeous. It was quiet and peaceful. It’s beautifully furnished and we had access to shops and restaurants. More importantly it allowed us to spend quality time alone with our family grilling and making smores over the fire pit while talking and laughing for hours. The game room is so much fun. We even played corn hole in the backyard. He thought of everything. It was such an amazing stay because of being able to easily have the entire family together comfortably. I would absolutely book this property again!

Clean and cute!

The Middleberry Retreat was absolutely perfect for my friend and I! Of all the places I’ve rented, this one was the cleanest and cutest. It is completely remodeled with very nice fixtures and features. The house was supplied with every thing we needed. All the furniture is comfortable and in great shape. The beds are comfy and there is huge supply of soft blankets. My friend and I have stayed at other places and discovered things we needed like a long length mirror or kitchen utensils. But that was not the case here. The basement game room is amazing. It is finished and features a television, billiards table, foosball, & carpet ball. Carpet ball directions are supplied by video on their marketplace & on the wall in the basement. We really enjoyed this area. Speaking of Marketplace. I hadn’t seen this feature before and it was so helpful and informative. Marketplace is a link to things such as early check in and check out, suggested activities and restaurants in the area, directions for arrival and departure and so much more. The owners also supply firewood for the pit in the back, s’more items, and two bikes. We didn’t have a chance to use these things but such a nice touch. This location is perfect for visiting Shipshewana which is about 15 mins away. The street of the house is busy which causes some noise but I still highly recommend and would stay again!!! Thank you Todd for the great home away from home!
