The property is well represented as listed with ONE glaring exception - this property does not have air conditioning as advertised! As this was a primary search criteria I required, I notified the owner immediately upon arrival. It isn't a matter of the HVAC being inoperative or not working, as with many places in CDMX, it is not built into the unit. While there are numerous space heaters in the closet for colder winter stays, there is nothing other than open windows for cooling. More than a week later, the listing is still misrepresenting this amenity, despite the owner advising this would be corrected immediately. While the owner is responsive to communications, actions are non-existent. The kitchen is lit by modern built-in LED strip lighting which was inoperative. This defect would be obvious to whoever was cleaning between guests, yet, it was not disclosed or repaired and resulted in needing to repurpose a bedside table lamp to see in the kitchen for the duration of the stay. The place is spacious and security responsive, however, level-set expectations. The owner is quickly turning rentals with limited maintenance other than cleaning between guests. During our stay, people staying above were smoking in their unit and using our patio as their ashtray to dispose of their cigarette butts. With rainy weather, their smoke drafted downward, requiring that we close the windows to keep the smoke out. No AC, damp rainy conditions, and no ability to dry out or keep cool.
