Wedding weekend

Our visit to AL was an amazing weekend of family and hard work preparing for my daughter’s wedding. In spite of the long days of wedding prep we relaxed comfortably in a quaint cozy cottage in Mentone. The cabin was beautifully decorated in relaxing but classic pieces that helped us feel at home. The quiet surroundings created the perfect escape

Perfect Cabin Getaway

Beautiful spacious cabin with updated modern amenities. Me and 5 of my good friends have been traveling together for over 25 years and this was one of the best getaways! Some of the coolest shops and eating at Wildflower cafe and The Hatter Cafe is a must…..the food was excellent! Can’t wait to go back!

Family Thanksgiving Get Away

Our extended family gathered for a Pre-Thanksgiving feast at the lovely Chestnut Cabin. We knew the cabin was built in the early 1900’s and had been recently renovated. We were so pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this cabin was. It certainly surpassed our expectations. We loved that it was all on one level!

Hidden gem!

My sisters, kids, and myself stayed for the Mentone Festival! The cabin is spacious but very cozy! So many details went into preserving the original feel of the cabin while updating it with a modern twist. Was very clean & the host was very quick to respond to any question's asked. It is so close to everything, but still gives the feel of being secluded. The kids enjoyed the screened in porch with the cornhole boards. The back stoned patio was perfect for gathering as we grilled then enjoyed smores around the firepit! Was the perfect weekend getaway! Will definitely plan to stay again!

Chestnut Cabin

This was a welcoming cabin with a lovely wrap around screened porch. It had been uniquely remodeled with very creative touches. The location was very quiet and wooded and convenient to restaurants and shopping. It was a great place to relax. There were four adults. We all loved it.

Family of 5 in Mentone

We have 3 teen boys and had a wonderful time @ this special cabin! The older ones shared a room with the 2 queens & the younger one lucked out with the beautiful private bath, queen bed & a fireplace in his room. My husband and I were pleased with our amenities in our space as well. I love the age of the place....just know before you go a few doors were hard to close & its not perfect, but very minor things. It snowed while there, so we didn't get out too too much. We brought our own firewood, played board games, watched movies, cooked & enjoyed the beautiful fireplace. We did go hike around DeSoto Falls & Little River Canyon- highly recommend those places. Our oldest is a distance runner in college and he got his miles in smoothly & safely around where we stayed. We ran into some cute shops, went to a farmers market & ordered pizza one night. The decor in this place is super cool, the antiques are interesting, sturdy, sparked some conversations with the kids & on point...it didn't uncomfortabe. Plenty of blankets too!!! We may have to stay here again.
