I LIKE EVERYTHING.

Great Stay. They gave me early check-in which I appreciated. Covid cut down the breakfast so it was scaled down so that was disappointing. Overall great hotel would recommend.

Retro hotel modernized looks nice but on very busy road. Close to downtown areas. The staff here were very uncaring, uninterested, all under 25 it seemed. We didn’t know there was breakfast or a coffee machine or where our room was as they just handed us the key and walked away. Totally missed out on free breakfast. The rooms are loud. They roll carts by all morning and it sounds like airplanes taking off outside. I won’t stay here again

Looks like converted motel. Comfortable for the price but not great

Great staff , great room. Close to Stanford University.

Awesome hotel. Clean, friendly staff, awesome perks!! Loved it!!

Disappointing from a value and amenities perspective.

Growing up I knew Hotel Lucent as the Mermaid Inn, which was a run down motor-inn that was vacant for a while. I moved away from the Bay Area, so imagine my surprise when I returned for a night and saw the swan that ugly duckling had turned into! The folks at Hotel Lucent managed to transform a very old hotel into something of modern beauty, all while using the bare bones structure of what was already there. The rooms and common areas were quiet and beautifully decorated, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the lap pool turned hot tub was the best idea EVER! We really enjoyed our night there and were pleasantly surprised by the yummy free breakfast they provided in the morning. It wasn't the standard muffins and coffee...they served scrambled eggs, cheese omelettes, country potatoes, yogurts, fresh fruit, and more. Yes, it was packaged stuff, but it was still palatable and again, it was free! Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

My best friend from high school and I decided to stay here since its location was between our current residences, about 2 hours away in opposite directions. We had a great time shopping at nearby Stanford Shopping Center, enjoying meals, and chatting away. We eventually checked into our room after dinner and LOVED the hot tub, which looks more like a lap pool. It has bench seats on both sides, jets, steps and lights. Room was updated, clean, with mini frig and waters. Lush towels! A fire pit at night with lounge seating was a nice surprise.(A family made smores.) We played pool (I lost). Small work out gym was great. Self-serve breakfast included potatoes, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, protein drinks in mini frig, bagels, pastries. Free parking. Ground level rooms available if requested before you check in. Very mobility challenged friendly. We decided to do this again at Hotel Lucent, "Same time next year."

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable! Breakfast was good that's a plus.

Spent one night there. Only about 30 minutes to SFO. Close to Palo Alto, Redwood city and other cities

Staff was very friendly, room was modern and clean. Hot breakfast daily was good. Large jacuzzi and fire pit for relaxing after a long day of exploring. Close to San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Cruz, etc. I would recommend and would stay here again

I was visiting for an event at Stanford University, and stayed for 3 nights. I was looking for a place near campus, but did not want the homogeneous "hotel chain" experience. Hotel Lucent turned out to be the perfect spot. It was a 5-7 minute drive to Stanford, and a short 2 minute walk from coffee shops, convenience stores, and good places to eat. The hotel itself has a very hip vibe, all of the amenities I could have asked for, very clean, and perfectly quiet at night. Parking was easy and space was never an issue. I was very happy with my time there, and would not hesitate to stay again.

Old renovated motel. Nice decor. Poor AC, rooms are hot. Great location.

While this hotel was the cheapest in Menlo Park at the time, it had the feel of a property that should've been much more expensive. The rooms were spacious, clean, very modern with great amenities. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would make this my go to hotel for staying in the Menlo park/Palo Alto area.

Wow....hotel lucent was an awesome experience. from the moment I walked in I was greeted by an awesome staff that couldn't do enough for me...the hotel is beautifully designed and decorated with a modern designs, cool fixtures & wall art...rooms are clean and well designed also....nice gym, free WiFi & breakfast to boot...

Everything was so nice. It was very modern. It had an amazing and friendly staff. It has 9ne of the best breakfast's I've ever experienced at a hotel. Would recommend to anyone staying near the area.

Limpieza, instalaciones, atención, lo que me no me encantó fue la ubicación

Dear Valued Guest, We are not pleased to hear that your recent stay with us was less than satisfactory - we strive for the best customer service, free amenities and swift assistance to ensure your visit with us is at its best. While you were uninformed of our complimentary breakfast hours upon arrival, we try to make that information as readily available as we can with signage throughout the hotel and written on our key sleeves as a reminder for our guests. Still, it is the responsibility of our front desk agents to inform all guests upon arrival of what we have to offer. We will take this feedback with high consideration and use it as a reminder to our staff. Thank You.
