Lahaina Shores Beach Resort

We live on Oahu but love coming to Maui for our "vacation spot". Normally we stay on the Lower Road, but this year we stayed here at Lahina Shores. Was a great place! Location was great for just walking to town and spending the evening. The hotel was clean, friendly and perfect for what we wanted. Will be back!

Beach access and a short walk to downtown. Short drive to safeway. Close to all the beautiful beaches near Lahaina and Kanaapali. Our Premier Ocean Studio was perfect with a great view of the beach and a full size kitchen.

This was a condo owned by some one and managed through resorts. The condo that we recieved was wonderful and had and awesome ocean view. Staff were friendly, room was neat and clean.Has direct access to beach and shopping center next by. Close to the shops in front street and happening place. Parking is the only minus here since it's very congested .

We have two small children (4 yrs and 7 yrs) and they wanted to add $25 per child per day to our hotel bill. When we checked in we noticed they only provided a full size bed room. We contacted the front desk and see if they can provide a roll-away bed. That was an additional $25 per day. The front desk lady and the manager were rude and were not accommodating. Sadly I had better customer service at Starbucks than this hotel. For the additional costs we should have booked our stay at a better hotel. Sorry to say but the experience kind of ruined our Maui vacation.

They charge extra for everything and the lady that check us in was very rude and in friendly. Can't even lose the room keys or they charge $25. It was very clean. Pool opens at 9am wished it was earlier. Nice full kitchen. Great for families but they do charge extra for kids.

Great customer service, walking distance to all restaurants & bars in Lahaina town, nice ocean view, small bed & requested a rollaway bed

We loved our stay here! My husband and I were each a bit ill (before coming, nothing to do with the Resort) and so we spent a LOT of time in our room or at the beach or the pool. From where I lay on our bed I could see the ocean, the island of Lanai, and the wonderfully changing sky; the complete end of our room was all glass, half of it the sliding glass door, which we kept open as much as possible. (Sometimes the luau next door got too rowdy--see below--sometimes, the surf!) Staff at all levels were very friendly and helpful. We had a full kitchen that worked beautifully, and the bathroom was lovely; wonderful shower. (No bath, but with ocean, pool and hot tub, we didn't need one.) It was great to slip on a swimsuit, get the towel, walk down to the ocean for a little bathe, then up to shower off the sand and get into the hot tub. When that got too hot, into the pool. Then hot tub. Excellent. The ONLY problem we had was not with the hotel but with the nightly luau next door, but closing the sliding glass door fixed that. Over at 10:00. Highly recommend.

Terrible terrible terrible simple awful everyone was terrible from the service to just everything and please stop sending me this stuff I am not this person and would not want to be

The hotel location was perfect for us, next to the beach, on the main street but away from al the stores and restaurants, a few minutes walk. Staff was very helpful for any reuqest you might have. Parking on site as well.

Location was excellent, easy walk to town, Room was comfortable and well equipped. Small beach with shallow water becomes rocky only 8 feet from shore so swimming is difficult but on the flip side it allows floating along to watch various fish. Bill and Veronica went above and beyond. Only cons were a charge for parking and on most days beach towels were taken but not exchanged. There is a small hot tub and a deep pool available and ample lounge chairs. The beach and water are not viewable from the chairs since there is a hedge abutting the beach. While the water view is spectacular from the back side of the hotel the mountain view is also very nice. Something to note is there is a large wholesale club located just outside the airport as you travel to the resort.

The only thing that bugged me a little was the parking. Everything else was amazing. Absolutely coming back for another trip !!!

I stayed in a Mountain View non-upgraded room on both the fourth floor and third floor. Both had a nice balcony and view of the Mountains. The rooms were clean with a kitchen, but we were not impressed with the beds. One queen bed (room 420) was incredibly soft and sagged a tremendous amount in the middle. I'm shocked this mattress/box spring is still in use. The other room we had (324) was also on the soft side and below average condition, but wasn't terrible. Room 420 also had a drainage issue with both shower & sink which we needed fixing. The maintenance guy fixed it quickly and was very nice. Overall, at the price point and the fact that it was close to downtown Lahaina and the harbor was worthwhile. The pool was tiny and the beach was not deep enough to lay out on since the tide went right up to the property. Most people laid out on the comfortable sun chairs on the grass in the back. Not much view since there are large bushes blocking the ocean view.

Very convienent and well kept, but amenities and friendliness of staff could have been improved.

If you are looking for a good value that's close to a lot of activities then this is the place you're looking for. A close walk to Lahaina town where there are a ton of shops, bars and restaurants at your disposal. A five minute walk to the bus stop to take you elsewhere. About 30 minute bus ride to Kaanapali and Black Rock and also to Ma' aleaa Harbor. The Lahaina Harbor also has boats to neighboring islands Lana-i and Molokini. The hotel has a concierge that can book a bunch of different activities, such as snokrleing, helicopter tours and luaus. The room was clean and satisfactory and was maintained diligently by the staff during my 5 day stay. Didn't really use the pool or Jacuzzi but the pool area looked good with plenty of lawn chairs for sunbathing. Just be careful if you go out into the ocean via the exit from the pool area, the water is shallow, waist deep for a long way out and a little rocky.

Concierge was great, always very helpful. Even provided the Road to Hana cd for the drive. Location was great.

The hotel room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the beach was dirty because of all the boats docked near the hotel. If you want to swim in a clean beach, you will have to drive to a nicer beach. I did enjoy the fact that the hotel is a short walk to a shopping area.

Great location in Lahaina next to a few very good restaurants. Great view every morning of the ocean. Very friendly staff and very clean.

Friendly staff, great location within walking distance to food and shopping; great value for your money

Husband and I celebrated our anniversary (and my birthday) on Maui and truly enjoyed our stay. My husband had stayed here before, and given my unknowns about the area in general, we opted to stay here again. Hotel was neat and clean and the staff were extremely helpful - especially when my coffee-fiend-of-a-husband needed a larger coffee maker!! Room was not as updated as some of the others in the complex, but it was very clean and comfortable. Not sure how you can make sure you get a more renovated room, but will definitely ask that question next time. The complex was also very quiet. Very rarely did we hear our neighbors! Can't beat the location and convenience to downtown Lahaina - everything was within walking distance - although we did take the car at times, even for those short jaunts. Parking could be a problem - especially on busy evenings. Definitely would stay here again!

We planned to get married on the island and lahina shores was a perfect place to stay. The rooms were great. We had the 1 bdrm premier,,,, and just so you know there is a big difference between the standard and premier. All 1 bedrooms are on the first floor so if you want a clear panoramic view you may want to stay in the studio premier which are on the higher floors. The hotel is right on the beach an right next to front street for shopping... A little caviat for you... Right next door the open air restaurant ( beach Betty's I think ) has a birds eye view of the feast of lele (old lahina luau) if you go have dinner at 7pm you could see the whole show for free ($80) savings per person! Hotel was pleasant, great staff an perfect location!
