In hotel now nice hotel couple of things wrong first all inclusive drinks served in plastic glasses, not really a good thing, second asked animation member if she could play a few British songs was told she could only play Spanish songs although a few tunes sounded German, helpful staff behind desk especially the gentleman who was there Thursday afternoon when we arrived, and the gentleman on desk Saturday night. Unacceptable if holiday is for British tourist as to much influence paid to other countries
I have today just returned from staying at this hotel resort, On booking at this hotel I had made it clear that I needed a low floored room as a member of my party was in a wheelchair. But on arriving to book in you clearly get the impression that the british are at the very bottom of this hotels liked guests I was put in a hotel block with no entrance ramp and put on the third floor.I have stayed at this resort before so I know they have good hotel access for wheelchair guests.Do not get me wrong not all the staff at this resort treat british with contempt. The chamber maids and some of the bar staff go above and beyond to make your stay memorable for the right reasons. But this review is my experience and observations. An other thing to avoid at this resort is if they fill the hotel with large groups of wild unruly school children and just let them run wild and upset everybody they come into contact with.
Well I don’t normally write bad reviews but there is some good and bad I’m afraid 😔 We checked in on the 28th of feb, on arrival everything looked lovely then we was given our key card to the Sahara. This was a bit of a walk but I didn’t mind that just wasn’t ideal going back and forth for meals. When we got to the Sahara there was another couple who also had the same problem, our cards didn’t work but eventually got in, wish I hadn’t. We got to the room, it was so cold ! The room was very small, consisted of a double bed, 1 pillow, wardrobe, an old portable tv that didn’t work, a phone that didn’t work, an adjoining bathroom which was so small that even my husband couldn’t use and he’s smaller build than me, we tested the shower it started to go on the carpets, it was more like a wet room but ran into the actual bedroom. We put the heating on but we had to put it back on within 5 mins as it kept going off ! We had a balcony and the view was awful, I said to my husband “a rat wouldn’t sleep in it “ it was seriously that bad ! So husband went up to the reception and it was almost like they was expecting us to complain because they had everything ready before we had asked for the upgrade. We paid 30 euros to be upgraded to the Hawaii building which was far better ! Once the the room was sorted I was happy. We saw this a lot ! A lot of people were sent to Sahara then upgraded once they had spent more money ! Meals were ok, bland at times but due to only one restaurant being open it was chaos ! Breakfast was worse for it, we stopped going for breakfast because the ques for the tea and coffee machines were herendous ! Nothing was open except the pool but out of season you would expect it to be heated ! But no it was freezing ! Shop wasn’t open but I found this funny because it had a sign saying open 24 hours ! No entertainment except for bingo but then the microphone broke so that ended that ! Me and husband did a lot of sight seeing which is a good job or would of been very boring. Staff was polite and welcoming so thank you for that. The grounds were lovely on site but the Sahara was awful ! I’m usually open minded and make decisions for myself but when people told me on arrival how bad it was I should have listened ! I’m afraid to say never again unless it drastically changes
Okay so im used to staying in hostels and this place came close. Very poor 3* all in resort. It felt quite dodgy as we we're checking in. WiFi not included. Drunks and smokers loitering main entrance. Clienteles were pensioners and young groups of Turkish men. Pools not heated. Entertainment areas closed due to low season which was understandable. Food was bland, lukewarm and reused. Flies present in dining area. Over ripe fruits. Queue to coffee machine felt like queueing for a ride in thorpe park! However, you do get what you pay for - the basics. I was okay with it but I won't be returning.
Following my recent booking with Teletext holiday, I assumed I had booked into the Palma Bay Hotel. However upon check in we were booked in for the Gobi hotel (2 mins walk away from the hotel) Myself, bf and 16 month old went to the Gobi suite and it is very tiny! 3 single beds and a cot bed. It has a shower in the bathroom. THE ROOM WAS FREEZING! especially the shower room. The next morning we paid the 10 Euro pppn upgrade to stay in the Palma hotel. Mani helped us with the booking as you can imagine walking with a baby to get food and drinks was not really practicable. We ended up on the 4th floor room 401. Much more spacious. ROOM: More space, however note that sheets are only changed every 4 days. BATHROOM: Our toilet flush did not work so we requested someone to fix it. It took 45 mins for someone to come. They had to go and get a part and that took 1 hour. There was no hot water due to a tank problem or something. Later that afternoon, we found a cigarette butt in the sink and my party does not smoke ALL INCL: Yes you only get 2 drinks at a time, the food is plentiful but I felt it was always luke warm STAFF: Friendly enough as they always greet you. The staff seemed particularly found of my son. GROUNDS: We ventured to the mini park which could do with some TLC OTHER: 10 min walk to get bus 25 to the city/beach Spa shop just outside with everything you need to buy
Great hotel - staff excellent - food excellent a good place to stay. The hotel is not on the seafront but that is only a very short walk away. The buses are nearby with a 5E cost for the adults to the airport and into Palma itself.
Lovely complex, very friendly staff, excellent food and drink, good daytime fun with the entertainment staff. Clean accommodation with maid service, fresh towels everyday. Its only a 10 minute walk from Arenals gorgeous white sandy seafront.
I have been using club palma bay for 8 yrs 2/3 time a year great value family holiday and long weekends with friends, very clean I can honestly say I have never had a bad holiday , lovely beach in walking distance , Patrick the hotel manage very helpful nothing to much trouble , looking to rebook for August 2018 all staff are very friendly and it’s nice to see same staff welcoming us on each stay :) thank you to Patrick and all the staff :)
Was the worst place we have ever stayed..never again!! Poor food poor drinks...disgusting room mould on walls..staff unhelpful cocktails out of tap..pool freezing..save ur hard earned money go else ware
Good location but up a slight hill, very large complex, 5 pools, childrens play area. entertainment for all the family during the day with entertainment at night. We were there for 8 nights from 7th october and this was full to capacity. dont go on economy basis unless you dont mind staying in very small spaces with no balconys and walking distance from main complex. Food is average and same each day done a different way. Breakfast and snack bars are great as plenty of choice, and snack bar has burgers & hotdogs etc for when you are bored of restaurant menu. Would still say all inclusive here is still good value for money.
