On arrival met by a moody reception man, our apartment was well away from everything a long walk down to bottom of complex. On arrival apartment had no phone , no kettle/or toaster.-Even though he gave us information on how to contact reception on the phone if you need them. Had a lovely dishwasher and washing machine but not the basics you need for a self catering holiday !!!! Why? Fan in a bedroom didn't work , so we rang on a mobile and told reception man that the apartment was too far away and 2 ladies on there own didn't feel safe this far from everything with no phone. He told us to come back so we walked back up the really steep hill to reception only to be told no more apartments all full - There was hardly anyone there. So we told him we would not go down to the previous apartment- Then all of a sudden an apartment was available. We were in the centre of the complex again no kettle/toaster or phone. We did get a kettle in the end. Should be standard !!!!!! Pool area fine and we always found a sunbed , pool always seemed to have bits in it even from 10am when it opened. Food and drinks at pool side bar were good and priced reasonably with good service from the staff. We used the Restaurant 1 night for convenience , not impressed food was barely warm and lacked any choice,- really glad we were self catering-20 euros pp- expensive Restaurant in need of modernisation very old fashioned and tatty compared with the apartments. Complex is a long way from anywhere so taxis had to be used to get to Marbella or anywhere lively- Worked out expensive !!! Wouldn't go back
Moody Reception man in arrival, Hotel on a very hilly complex so if you have bad knees or back don't stay here as there is no assistance. I stayed in the Duplex room 6017 right at the bottom so I asked if my suitcase could be collect and they refused so it was an up hill struggle in 80 degrees heat at midday checkout. Food very basic if you like your chips with chips...It a 10am opening for the pool and first come first serve,it's not nice fighting for beds...hotel is very secluded it's not walking distance to beach or town and it's a taxi to Marbella €30 max,I wouldn't stay here again,I would want more from my holiday....I wouldn't recommend this hotel... lifeguard was always on his phone and not facing the pool as he didn't see an umbrella falling into the pool.. tut tut ...
Me and my partner have just returned from a long weekend at Vime La Reserva hotel in Marbella, and it was very pleasant indeed! Our apartment was immaculate.. had two bedrooms (upstairs and downstairs) one being ensuite and a sofa bed if you wanted to sleep in the lounge area. The staff was very friendly and was more then happy to help. I asked to hire a kettle, iron and hair dryer which they saw to straight away without any bother. We was bed and breakfast but the breakfast wasn't great to be honest, but! You have a supermarket just a few minutes walk away which you can get all you need from! The pool area was very clean and you can hire a bed for as little as €35 with two cocktails thrown in! Bargain! Will definitely visit this hotel again.
Stayed here with 11 others for a hen weekend. We stayed in apartments with a sofa bed upstairs and 2 beds down stairs. Lovely and spacious. Some of our rooms had been refurbished and were lovely others were a little bit dated nevertheless clean. The room had 2 bathrooms with one power shower, a kitchenette with washing machine, microwave, cutlery etc but no kettle. Wifi was not free and was 1 Euro for 10 minutes!!!! Breakfast was nice with hot and old buffet items. Tea, coffee and juice too. A supermarket nearby (approx 3 mins walk) was really handy to stock up fridge with drinks etc. The hotel is situated near a motorway like road. Taxi to Puerto banus was 30euros, old town Marbella under 20 euros and Nikki beach approx 12 euros. Hotel is happy to call for you. Would stay here again!
There was a few minor blips to our stay, wifi was not free and no kettle in the apartment. That out of the way, i was overwhelmed with the quality and cost. The apartment was clean and gorgeous. I wasnt expecting that kind of quality I am already looking to come back next year
Myself and a friend have just come back from a long weekend at Marbella. The apartments are lovely, spacious, and very clean. All staff at the reception were knowledgeable and very helpful. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed here for 10 days at New Year and believe me it was like stepping back into the seventies. So called self catering consisted of two electric hot plates and two frying pans plus no kettle , no toaster and no microwave. Heating was non existent apart from a small oil filled radiator which was totally inadequate. Staff unfriendly and not happy when we requested fresh towels after three days of using the same wafer thin ones. Predominantly French clientele and if this is their standards it is certainly not ours.
Have stayed 3 times and booked again for may, ideal base for visiting the area. Will use every time we visit Marbella, excellent value for money, has very thing you need for a self catering holiday. Xxx
I'm just after staying 6 days at VIME resort outside Marbella, after reading previous reviews I was concerned however I booked through AirBnb after the positive reviews of the appartment we were staying in. Wow what a place, and I can honestly say that the renovations taken place will certainly make a difference to give this resort the credit it deserves, although it is situated outside the town it did not put myself or my boyfriend off, we had no car so we used public transport, there's a bus stop right outside the resort that will take you to Marbella, Puerto Banus and further etc we usually caught the 220 bus that takes you to these places for €1.50 each way the opposite side of the bus stop takes you back to fueingorola, Malaga etc which we also caught to go back to the airport and it cost less than €5 pretty inexpensive and very efficient way to travel especially if you don't want to hire a car. Even in the low season there was plenty to do and was much warmer than expected! The apartment we stayed in was, cosy chic and modern just as described by the owner, there is accommodation owned by the hotel which is being renovated and will for sure be top class once finished I would definitely return in the warmer season as the spot would be a great get away in the warmer weather !
Recently stayed here for a weekend for a business trip. Stayed in a 2 bedroom duplex apartment which has been totally refurbished. Wow. Contemporary still maintaining a Spanish feel. Apartment was furnished with a great kitchen. Surprisingly had dishwasher, washing machine as well as full size fridge freezer and WiFi! It had 2 outdoor pools and an indoor pool, sauna and gym. Close to Cabopino Port which has some great restaurants and several golf courses nearby. Shame it was only a weekend. I read alot of reviews with concern but these maybe before the renovations took place as i shall certainly return with the family.
