"We love Painters Lodge and have been staying there for 42 years as we were married there in 1984. I Am happy to say that the new owners are making a concerted effort to improve what was a very run down property. Over the past year the rooms have been renovated. And many things have been upgraded and improved. The pool is reopened with new decks and a glass enclosure. The hot tubs were not functioning but I’ve been told that they will be up and running soon. The gardens, grounds are improving. The dining room kitchen is being renovated so the dining room was not open but the pub was open for meals. The gift shop was about to reopen. In the rooms there are very efficient new kitchenettes. I was impressed by the room upgrades. We will return!"
