Perfect location, the receptionist was really nice and helpful, the hotel itself is old and needs renovation. the room was small but the bathroom was same size as the bedroom. the cleaning is fine. expected a little more from a 4 star hotel.
I stayed there 5 nights two days ago and here is thought of this place. First of all, the location is great. Every landmarks are near this hotel so easy to travel. However, the reason why I'm giving one star is because the staff. He has horrible manner and attitude as a customer service representative. I originally reserved two rooms with two double sized beds. A male staff with bald head gave me two rooms with two single sized beds. I complained, of course, but he said that's what the computer says in his computer. He said there is no room with double sized beds in this hotel. So I went through my confirmation email, I found my booking was two rooms with two double sized beds. Then he told us that there is no room for that size. I was like "I paid more for that size of bed so you need to give me that room." Then we got a room with three beds and a room with two double sized beds for waiting until 2pm. (I checked in at 11am.) My family put our stuffs in the room and came out to go to places. As I came down to lobby, he called me all of sudden to sign a paper. I asked him what this is about and he said police paper. I was like what police paper is this? Everything on the paper was in spanish and he forced me to sign it so I told him I need to know at least what this is about. He constantly says police detail or police paper to me. Then a short man with curly hair came out and said "if you don't sign, you don't get the room." I said "I want to know what I'm signing. I can't just sign any paper since you took my passport and everything. This is illegal to make me sign whatever paper you want. I want to know what this paper is. Then I'll sign." This conversation was going on and on for several minutes. Then someone said there is congress near this hotel to prevent terror or something. So everyone has to sign the paper for that reason. I was like "there you go. You need to explain in order to make the customer to sign the paper." This is my first day at the hotel. Also I stayed 5 nights there and the cleaners don't change my bed sheets and added more bathroom necessities like shampoo and so on. One day, they didn't clean my room and my other room at all. I put some tissues and used toothbrushes they provided but as I got into the room, there was gum on the floor, bathroom was not cleaned at all. shampoo and soap are on the floor that I did not do before I left the room but they took my tip on the table. I saw dust on the floor, lamp and table. In a conclusion, I believe this place is good for location but not the workers and not clean at all.
Very central hotel. Ideal for exploring. The deluxe room had 2 balconies with great views over the city. Little bit tired around the door to the bathroom balcony but quiet and good for rest. My only gripe was that I couldn't get the Jacuzzi working. There were instructions showing what each button did (in Spanish) but no basic instructions about how much water to fill with and when to start it up.
Oke, let me get one negative out of the way before I mention all the positives: the bed. It is a hard spring matrass which I don't prefer. The rest, however, is splendid. We stayed in a two-person room (705) with (surprisingly!) a bath/shower combo. It was a quiet room, not a lot of traffic noise, and we had a view over de city. The breakfast options were suitable (ranging from English breakfast to cereal or from churros to spanish omelette).
Nice comfortable But small rooms , army blankets Price is ok for 3 stars max Good sevice , nice consierge Easy to reach center in 3 min walk Good cafe next door Dont order breakfast , go to the cafe Reason for low rate is expectation to 4 stars
Nice central hotel, although the building next door was being refurbished, and my room was on the first floor on the side of the building works, I didn't have any problems with noise ... good value for money with helpful staff ... I felt the breakfast was a token gesture, so I only used for a morning coffee and ate locally ...
This hotel was in a great location, about 2 minutes walk from Sevilla metro station and about 5 minutes to Sol. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a great size and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size and the bath and shower were great. Very well stocked minibar!
The hotel completely satisfied our 2 non-negotiable criteria in choosing a hotel: cleanliness and security. Also, excellent location - easy walking distance to everything in the old town area - 4 min. walk to the Metro station. Front desk staff were present 24/7 and there was a security safe for personal valuables in each room. Smaller rooms (as expected when in Europe) but more than adequate for our 5 day stay. Beds were quite firm and comfortable. Individual thermostat in the room allowed us to adjust the temperature to our liking. Bathroom was very clean with lots of hot water and water pressure in the shower. Some North Americans may complain that there is only 1 English language TV channel out of about the 30 available but we were not there to watch TV. In any case, the internet was excellent...better than at home. As Madrid is a large city which parties late into the night, street noise can be a problem so we chose a room that faced a less busy side-street and it was very quiet. I think you would be hard pressed to find any hotel in Madrid where street noise was not a problem for at least some of the rooms. Quatro is no exception. Breakfast, which was included in our room rate, was excellent ...fresh with lots of variety. Staff were very friendly and very quick to ensure that food items were replenished and the self-serve areas and the room in general was kept very clean.
Hotel was in a great location. Room was a bit warm due to change in HVAC mode from summer to winter. Had to leave the window open for most of the time except when sleeping. Hotel does look a little tired and phone system was out for our floor during the entirety of our stay. Breakfast was OK but I'd suggest visiting one of the many local eateries close by. Many do a traditional American breakfast. A lot of construction works occurring around the vicinity of the hotel makes it noisy during the day. Also a bus stop outside our window, even though we were on the 5th floor was also very noisy with the windows open.Hardly noticeable with the window closed though. The hotel boasts a 4 Star rating but is a 3 Star at best. Staff were excellent but we did notice that a lot of the brochure folders were empty at the hotel. Will be looking for somewhere else next time we stay in Madrid. There is a beautiful building being renovated next to the hotel which is planned to be a Four Seasons Hotel.Would give this a try because location is excellent.
Rooms are clean, but bathrooms are old and worn. In order to use the shower, one has to do several unintuitive things to the faucet - took me several long minutes to figure out what I'm supposed to do, even though they leave instructions. One has to get into the bath through a narrow passage left between the toilet and the bidet: if you're big-bodied, it would pose a problem. Breakfast is very poor. Location is excellent. Service is friendly and helpful.
