The room was clean and organized, furniture was in good condition . The room was comfortable. The most remarkable about this hotel is the location which it is over Gran Via offering multiple options for shopping, Restaurants and Theaters. Very easy to commute and good property.

A well situated hotel that's pretty good

The hotel is very well situated on Gran Via, which is the main street in the heart of Madrid, but like other hotels in capital cities, the rooms are quite small and there's not much room. Our standard room had a double bed, a desk and chair and a wardrobe. There were bedside drawers so there was space to unpack your clothes. The bathroom was large, with a ridiculously oversized counter top with 2 sinks. This would have been lovely, however this was so large it barely left enough room to use the toilet, or get into the bath to have a shower. Also the hand soap dispenser was not over the counter, so every time you used it, it dripped on the floor. The breakfast was good - continental style with a decent selection of breads and pastries, yoghurts and fruit, cheeses and cold meats and a hot counter with eggs, spanish omelette, croquettes and bacon - overall a good breakfast experience. One thing that did annoy me was that the room was listed with Air Conditioning, however this did not work. When we queried this with the Reception, they said it wasn't switched on for the whole hotel because it wasn't warm enough outside yet - we were hot - it was 20 degrees outside. So, they gave us a freestanding fan, which did move the air around a bit, and cooled the room at night.

It's an OK hotel in a very good location. I entered the room and it had a horrible smell. Called reception and they were very friendly but had a group of 30 people coming in so things took a while. All got settled.

Great Location. However, no so great sleep

The hotel is perfectly located, they have breakfast service included which is a plus. The icky complain I have is the beds. The beds were so uncomfortable, the mattress was so thin that one could feel the frame, it was so hard that my hips are still hurting. Those mattresses need replacement ASAP
