Nestled along 300 feet of private lake frontage, this exceptional three-story retreat on Cedar Creek Lake offers an unparalleled waterfront experience. Showcasing breathtaking lake views from every room, the home features wraparound porches on the first two floors, providing a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living. A carved-out swimming area, safely tucked away from boat traffic, invites guests to enjoy the refreshing waters, while the large yard offers ample space for relaxation.


You will have contactless check in/out and issued a private door code through RemoteLock. Owners are available by phone or text during your stay.

If you would like to save time and have groceries delivered ahead of time please let us know! You can book directly with Jessica at least 4 hours ahead of your arrival.

Cedar Creek Lake is the 5th largest lake in Texas. Excellent fishing, boating, 4th of July Air Show, and lots of shops including First Monday Canton Trade Days just 25 minutes away. We are close to town so you won't need to drive 30-45 minutes around the lake if you forgot something.

The Tiki Hut at the marina and Vernon's are popular waterfront restaurants accessible by boat. Our location is just a few minutes to Walmart, Brookshire's and local restaurants.

Beyond the property, Gun Barrel City and the surrounding areas offer a variety of activities and attractions. Guests can visit Tom Finley Park for additional lake access and scenic picnic spots, or explore local dining at popular lakeside restaurants. Cedar Creek Brewery provides craft beer tastings in a laid-back atmosphere, while Purtis Creek State Park is ideal for hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing. For a unique shopping experience, Big Daddy’s Flea Market showcases local artisans and hidden treasures. Those seeking a change of pace can take a day trip to Dallas, just over an hour away, where world-class dining, entertainment, and cultural experiences await.

Our home is about a one hour drive from DFW so this is a perfect getaway spot. We have a covered boat slip and jet ski slip for your watercraft so you can easily access the water right from our private dock. Please let us know ahead of time if you are bringing any watercraft so we can tell you where to launch and if possible we can make our slips available to you. We rotate our own watercraft between our rentals so covered space may or may not be available.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 3.5 bathrooms, and a balcony. There's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a sofa bed. Housekeeping is available on request.

College Retreat

We had a wonderful time with the large living room, fabulous kitchen, beautiful yard, and plenty of beds for 22 of us. We will definitely consider returning for future events. We highly recommend this property!

This place is a homerun.

The property itself, the spot on the lake, the views, the volleyball court etc. were perfect. The place is set up to entertain. The kitchen is very well stocked. 2 huge sinks, 2 dishwashers made cleaning up after feeding a large group very easy. We have been taking this trip with this group for 23 years now and this place is on a very short list of everyone's favorites. Boat and jet ski rentals were very easy as was everything with this owner. They are very responsive and definitely seemed to care about your stay. We would for sure rent again. Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven with us for the weekend.

Neighbor is very annoying and doesn’t want people coming and going

Overall the house is amazing, the neighbor next door is a control freak I received a email saying I guess we broke something and owners used the protection plan for damages which I agree if we did break something then it needs to be paid for but I know we didn’t but who cares . I checked everything before we left and didn’t see anything and was in contact with the owner and told her if we did please send picks and price so I could pay for it because I know it does cost a lot to have a beautiful property like this. If it’s just a couple trying to get away then I highly recommend but if you are doing a cook out with friends and family that are not staying I wouldn’t do to the experience we had.

Great Relaxing Stay

We had a group of about 20 for a work retreat. Melissa was very communicative and everything was just as described. Plenty of room for everyone and everything we needed for cooking for a large group was supplied. We had a great relaxing weekend team building, playing games, & eating good food. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house!

This house is bomb! Everything it appears to be and more. Melissa was very easy to deal with and was quick to answer any of our questions. Just make sure to check in advance if the lake is low your boat may not reach the dock due to shallow water. This lake is beautiful and this house is a great place to enjoy it!

Excellent Stay!

Great location for a professional team building weekend. Everyone enjoyed the house as it was very clean, spacious and has a great A/C….so necessary during this heatwave! There are lots of areas for activities as well. The hostess, Melissa, was extremely helpful with information about the house & property. She provided excellent recommendations for catering lunch and dinner during our stay….plus has a wealth of knowledge about all the community has to offer. Melissa is so easy to communicate with and she was quick to return all messages. It was a GREAT stay! Highly recommended!!

Great location, comfortable for the 12 people we had.

The house was clean and beautiful. The small town was great. There are stores right up the road, and we could easily get to if we needed. My only complaint is, there needs to be better cooking equipment. For the size of that property and the amount of people that it can hold, the pots and pans were too small and not enough.

Our Visit to Fortner Point

Reservation process was excellent. Property owner communicated with me nicely. House is 3 stories, but there are no bedrooms on the first floor which was a challenge for the senior members of our family. Second floor had 3 bedrooms, and the 3rd floor had a huge room with several beds of all sizes. This meant 4 of our married couples had to sleep on 3rd floor with all the kids. It is a beautiful setting, but the water was so low fishing was impossible. The kids and adults had a wonderful time playing in the water.

Great house, terrible experience with host

The house was beautiful. However, we arrived and noticed there were a few chairs already broken. There were also lots of cobwebs in bathrooms/outside on the deck. It felt like nobody had cleaned the property in awhile. The experience with the host was extremely stressful and nearly made us cancel our reservation. If you are looking to rent this property with anything other than a church group, silent retreat group, or elderly home field trip, i would highly suggest against booking this property. We left the property after vacuuming and wiping down all counter areas. We cleaned the grill after using it, despite her claim that we didn’t. Before the stay, she warned us that she left a car there and would be coming by to grab it. Her husband came by at the end of the weekend and we chatted, he was great. and told us “thanks for treating the property so well!” As for the extra people, we only had 18 people stay at the property so we were wrongly charged for that. (or less- we had people leave before the weekend was over) Overall, house was great but i would NOT book again with this host. Before the weekend the host noticed my age (27) on my liscense and i feel as though she went into the weekend already knowing she was going to scrutinize our stay, regardless of our care of the property.

Perfect Location, Great Size and Full of Amenities

Great Spot for our Girl Scout Troop. Plenty of Space, Clean and Amenities Galore. It had everything we needed and lots of room for all of us. Host is awesome, easy to communicate with and helpful. Lake Front views were great. Firepit easy to use. Game and Activity room for the girls. Kitchen has double of everything so its beneficial for large groups. We will be back, All around 5-Stars. Awesome place.

Had a blast

House was great! Very comfortable and roomy for our group of 12 (adults / teenagers). Plenty to do and great view of the lake. It was a little windy during our stay so we spent more time indoors than we expected but with games and puzzles on hand we still had fun. Kitchen was well stocked so we had no problems preparing meals for our group. Only negative was several outdoor chairs had loose arms. Owner said they were working on replacing / repairing them so that should be better for our next trip! As we were leaving - our whole group wished we had booked a longer stay. Would definitely stay again.

This is our second time to stay here for our student staff retreat and we loved it again! Melissa is always very responsive and is an amazing host! Wonderful Christmas Family Gathering

We truly enjoyed our time on this property. Family from Texarkana, Dallas, Houston and Lubbock came together for a couple of days to celebrate Christmas. Lakeside property, beautiful sunset, lots of room to visit and play board games. Took advantage of the ping-pong and other games provided. Would definitely recommend to other families!!!

Beautiful location for a getaway
