The hotel itself is “not great, not terrible”. I stayed before at a TSH (on a different city and country) and my expectations were high. Sadly, these weren’t met and instead I was just counting the days to leave.

Very comfortable hotel within easy walking distance of major attractions and highlights in Bologna. Large comfortable room, marvelous breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Could not have been a better experience. For us, a bit of a splurge, but definitely worth it

The overall hotel experience was mostly positive, the hotel/room descriptions and photos on the website were close to reality. BUT, the AC was not working at all. When we complained to the front desk, we were told that the city did not get the hotel permission to switch the AC !!! and we were told that usually the AC is permitted to be used only from june til mid-september!!! Fortunately our room was on the north side of the building , so the heat was tolerable - and it was indeed very hot on May 13-15. So, the hotel should clearly state that there is no AC in May, so the future guests may adjust travel plans accordingly.
