Absolutely disgusting hotel, this is my first worst experience in a hotel, small room I wish they could look like to the pictures but no ! No hot water, no amenities, the lady at the entrance not nice, no smile, asked me to pay in cash !!! I had to wait more than 5 minutes the time she finished her personal call ! The noise awful almost all the night, the receptionist lady was talking so loud during the night, impossible to sleep. Please don't go to this place if you trust in good service.

I came here to stay as a break on my own for 5 nights. Took 5 minutes for the receptionist to answer the door. Not wearing uniform and wearing slippers. The rooms are basic for the price you are paying. Other guests were very rude not even saying hello as you'd expect in hotels. Could hear talking all through the night so I didn't get a good nights sleep. I would not recommend this hotel. The breakfast was good included eggs, bacon and beans but nobody came to ask what you wanted. Very short staffed. The rooms weren't cleaned everyday. Shared bathroom dirty. The hotel is abit out of the way of the main shops, restaurants etc. The receptionist didn't understand English - not good when dealing with the public

I stayed here for two nights with a work colleague whilst in London for work. My first impression of the venue was that it seemed to be in an alright area, it looked rather nice from the outside. However my first impression of the establishment was quickly turned sour when I encountered the receptionist. She was quite rude from the start. I understand that she may have been having an off day and maybe she was rather stressed, however the building was very quiet and it was only me at the reception. A slight smile and a warm welcome would have made the first encounter a bit smoother. I did not appreciate the short and sharp responses from herself whilst talking to me. Once I eventually got the keys to my room and was handed a paper, of the information regarding the hotel e.g breakfast. Which I thought was a nice idea because I would have most likely forgotten information once I had gotten to my room. The room itself was fine, the bed was quite alright, a little squeaky but not uncomfortable. I however was not impressed with the fact that the toilet was in a separate room to the bedroom. It was shared with the rest of the customers staying there. This would not have bothered me so much had there at least had been a sink in the room with the toilet, if you wanted to wash your hands after using he toilet, you had to back into your bedroom. It was a very strange setup. The shower was questionable. Dust and black mould throughout the room and the vent was not working. Showering was a quick process and I didn't really feel much cleaner after using it. Breakfast was another situation entirely. The orange juice was rather acidic, I like my juice with a kick but this was ridiculous. Plates were not very clean, I had to pick up two plates from the top of the pile to get a clean one to eat off of. When I got my cooked breakfast, it was clearly a set up to cook quickly and get people out. No sausages were provided, the beans and egg were fried and the beans were cold. I noticed a few other people pulling faces of disappointment whilst eating their breakfast also. It's a shame because this hotel could have been quite lovely had slight adjustments have been made.

Sorry to say but I was there with my girlfriend and was very disappointed not what we expected very dirty place and price is overrated I hope i future they do better coz now is not worthy any penny or going there sorry guys make sure next time you fullfill you needs

You get what you pay for but it the hotel was in a nice quiet area with nice pubs nearby. The room was very small but clean and had a small en-suite. Nowhere to store clothes but that didn't bother us as we were only there for a quick overnight stay. Breakfast was lovely - continental available and cooked breakfast on request. It's alright, just what we needed and great value for money.

It's great price and good walking distance from tube station. But don't expect any frills. We were on the ground floor and the nearest toilet was on the floor above. The nearest shower the floor above that again. The quilts on the beds were too thin and too small, lots of light bulbs not working, but hey ho. The breakfast was great except the coffee horrid and the baked beans were served cold. There was a microwave so maybe they expected us to warm them ourselves. But friendly staff and we are not complaining. Just putting you in the picture.

The hotel is in Tufnell Park and, if I had to stay in the area by myself for a night or two, I might consider this place again. Otherwise, no way. First, it's quite a ways from London and if that's what you're interested in, pick someplace else. Second, the room was tiny, and the bathroom even smaller. The shower was so cramped that I had trouble washing my feet and I'm both small and limber. Third, there was a funny smell. Fourth, there was no place to put things -- no towel racks, no shelves, no hangers. The small desk was nice, but inadequate. Again, for one small person for a night or two -- maybe. The staff were friendly and obliging. The maintenance guy came up right away and fixed the toilet so that it flushed pretty well, most of the time.

Brilliant location for what we wanted was off to a wrestling show at Islington Hall which was about 10 minute drive for hotel... breakfast was decent English grub not the crappy continental u get in big change hotels.. the staff were very friendly and welcoming.. the rooms are rooms a bed a tv and sink what more do u want for the reason ur there but to sleep for the night .... Defo found a little gem at the Five Kings Hotel, cheers guys and see u in the future...

This hotel relatively cheap when compared to other places to stay in London, but it is also quite far from the city center. Our room was extremely small for 3 beds and the whole place seemed a little old. The staff, however, was nice and the included breakfast is done at the moment for you.

Five Kings Hotel is conveniently located 10 minutes away from the Northern line station Tufnell Park. It's situated in a peaceful residential neighborhood and is basically a townhouse turned hotel. There is however only one shared toilet and one shared shower per floor. There is no sink by the toilet, as the closet-size room the toilet is placed in simply cannot fit one. The breakfast is filling, albeit lacking in nutrition and tastiness. Do not ask for (soggy) scrambled or (overly) fried eggs. Beware of the toasters - toast your bread longer than 2,5 minutes and it will turn into coal.
