Good place.
Hotel June - West LA is a pleasant surprise and surpassed my expectations. I loved the “coastal chic” decor, the beautifully-appointed heated outdoor pool, and the hotel staff were exceptional (special nod to their wonderful valet team.) Aesop toiletries, premium bedding, convenient location close to LAX, and cleanliness are all bonuses, too! Unfortunately, LA got hit with some strong winds and the hotel (including the entire block) lost power for several hours on the second day of our trip — we weren’t able to access the elevators, our rooms & hotel guests had to use our flashlights on our phones to use the lobby restrooms. (No emergency lighting, hotel mgmt should consider the safety hazards.) Besides that, the only other gripe we had is the comically-disappointing water pressure in our room’s shower — plan on spending an extra 30 minutes to properly rinse the conditioner out of your hair.

I liked the swim club and overall aesthetic of the hotel lobby and surrounding area only.
Hotel was convienent to the airport, however they do not offer a shuttle service. Hotel looked okay, but sort of felt cheap as far as it's decor. Felt they're going for an Ace Hotel Palm Springs vibe, but not done well. Our hotel sofa has a cigarette burn hole in it. The TV was difficult to use, although we do like Apple TV, we were unable to shut off the "live tv" setting, which makes everything look terrible, and very distracting. The hot water took a good 5 minutes of letting the shower run. The morning coffee service was terrible self serve coffee and only powder "creamer". And breakfast menu was very limited, I think 3 items that were unappealing... we went do a different restaurant. Very unlikely we'd stay here again.
We moved from LA to NY and because we are designers we really wanted to try the June Hotel and check out what the Proper Hotel Group had to offer. We have stayed all over the world in many boutique and designer properties but i have never had an experience like this!
Great hotel
Very modern hotel with a nicely decorated lobby. Rooms were bigger than I expected and beds were very comfortable. The pool was the only thing that was smaller than I expected, but overall a very nice hotel in a nice area.
I have a problem with being charged more than what was told. Reason... it’s called theft. Was told to provide a credit card for a security deposit and noticed there was a charge for more. Inquired at checkout and was told it was an “amenity” fee. I said you should tell people this and he just said sorry. Wow! That easy, charge more, say sorry. Think I should use that in my business model. Other than that, clean but provide coffee people. Be a hotel
Clean and well decorated facility and friendly staff.
The property was really nice and the beds were very comfortable. I liked it overall. However you have to pay for parking. We had to pay $25 for valet for one night. Otherwise you risk getting your car towed. There isn't accessible parking near the hotel. Guests should know before booking. I would definitely be back
Pros: Great location for exploring LA and Santa Monica counties. Easy access to LAX. No plan noise. Cons: Dated, noisy air conditioning. No in room amenities. I know it's Covid time, but a coffee maker would have been nice so we could have avoided unnecessary contacts. Room was very plain, and sparse. Pool area was packed on hot days, with no social distancing. Valet parking at $50/night was outrageous. Valet parking lot was 100 feet from hotel entrance, and could have been opened for guests without any issues.

Good evening Michelle, thank you so much for the 5 star review! We are so happy to hear your stay with us was excellent! Thank you for being so understanding regarding the power outage we had to deal with. Thank you for the feedback regarding the emergency lighting, we are working to see why they did not turn on as they should have and also appreciate the feedback about the water pressure. We will follow up with our team regarding that as well! We look forward to having you stay with us next time you're in the area.
