Mostly nice house, not super small kid friendly because of all the knick knacks, door from kid bedroom leading to an upstairs deck, and long walk to the beach. It is close to the pool and the hot tub was functional! Not enough towels, 1 per person meant we had to wash towels daily and wouldn’t have a dry one if we went from beach to pool or hot tub. Appreciated that they had laundry detergent available, but didn’t plan to do so much laundry on a vacation. We had a nice time, but feel we overpaid and probably wouldn’t return.

Perfect stay and location

The Black Pearl was everything you’d hope a vacation home with a good location and coastal charm would be. While seasonal, the adjacency to the pool could not be better. We enjoyed morning coffee with an ocean view, and enjoyed the short stroll to the beach. The stairs to the beach were quite steep, but there is another beach access close by. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, and plenty of space for us with a desirable amount of separation from our kids upstairs. The master bath is small but had everything needed. The main TV only had cable, but all others allowed streaming and it was not an issue. Overall, we loved it and can’t wait to come back in summer to take advantage of the community amenities.

Black Pearl is AMAZING!

I had the best experience from booking to check out with this listing and host. It was such a breeze and the home is amazing. I cannot recommend this listing enough! The views greet you in the morning with your cup of coffee. The home is very cozy and clean. The kitchen is well stocked as well. Give this place a try, you won’t regret it. We will be back.

Perfect Family Vacation

The Black Pearl made for a perfect family vacation. The Olivia Beach community is quiet, family friendly, and has a nearby access to the beach. We loved being able to enjoy the ocean views from the front porch, but the highlight had to be having a deer stroll between us and the neighboring property one evening while we were enjoying the hot tub. The kitchen had all the pots, pans, dishes, and silverware we needed to prepare breakfast at the start of the day and dinner at the end of the day. The home felt cozy and yet had plenty of space for our family of four to spread out. We make the trip to the Oregon Coast every couple of years and this was by far our best stay.

Black Pearl stay

Our family had a wonderful time in the Black Pearl. The neighborhood is so cool and neat looking. Kids enjoyed the playground in the middle of the neighborhood. Wraparound porch was definitely enjoyable, so peaceful to sit outside as the sun goes down and the moon rises. Hot tub came in handy in the 60 degree temps. There is really no easy access to walk to the beach but it actually made more sense to drive down the hill to the little park to bring the kids to the ocean. We would definitely recommend this to friends and family!!!

Perfect beach get away spot

The house had everything we needed and the location is good. It’s a short walk to the beach and a quick drive to town. I recommend this property for families who want a nice spot to get away together in a comfortable beach house.

Great Family Stay

This house was perfect for a family of 4 plus two grandparents. We loved that there was a master bedroom on the main floor for easy access for the grandparents, who find it hard to climb a lot of stairs. Our kids loved the upstairs TV loft and that there were cute stuffed animals on the bed The view from the decks are gorgeous and the neighborhood is really charming. We liked being right across the street from the pool and fitness center. Walkable beach access is available, for those fit enough for a walk up hills and a several story staircase, and within driving distance for those who are more mobility-challenged.

Enjoyed the nice quiet space. Rooms and beds were wrest. Seemed to be lacking some basic condiments like salt and pepper, did have coffee to use. Never tried hot tub, cover was extremely heavy and awkward. Check in / out was easy.

Great community

We stayed over Father’s Day weekend. 5 adults 3 kids. Everyone had fun, the community pool was a blast, we loved the deck. Nice area.

Amazing house, terrible check in process.

The house is awesome, very well taken care of. It is close to the pool which was great for the kiddos. But it is a good walk to the beach access. I had to call the property manager to get the access code, which was very inconvenient. Check in was at 5:00, got to the property at 5:20 to find the cleaners still there. Kids wanted to go to the pool, didn’t know we needed a fob, again had to call property manager, she said she was dealing with other issues and could try and bring another out that night. Property manager said she could offer a 50 dollar refund for the issues, which hasn’t been paid. Overall the house was great but the customer service was anything but.
