Chatham Villa

Loved the Villa, the Tv was terrible. Could only watch Sling Free, with commercials every 3 minutes. The DVD was not hooked up and there wasn’t a Magnavox remote anywhere. So we were lucky had kindles. Therefore., we would not rent the Villa again.

Property had a lot of issues - in need of repair and update

Ripped screen door on porch, broken patio door (would only open about 2 inches, whole place smelled musty, all sinks dripped, toilets ran, toilet in master bathroom made a loud howling noise with every flush for the first week we were there. Garage door randomly went up when we weren't there. Thankfully we thought to lock the inside house door before we left. Ratty towels and floor mats don't look good when people stay. But, at least it gave us a place to sleep, shower and dress while we were there. So, we're thankful for that.

Disappointing

The place is very rundown. The dishwasher was broken and full of water before we arrived. It was never fixed, even though I reported it to the property manager. After an entire month, it was really gross and disgusting. I have stayed in 15 to 20 Vrbo’s and this was the worst one.

My day was amazing the house was very clean it was very well stocked with everything you could think of that you may need on a trip very comfortable home and a great location five star rating!!!!

Filthiest place I ever stayed at.

This place could have been nice IF it was clean. I never saw such dirty, filthy carpeting ever. The kitchen, which is supposed to be the cleanest room in any house, apartment or whatever was so dirty. I made sure to wash anything I needed for cooking etc before I used. The last thing I will discuss is the pillows. So stained that it was disgusting. We went out and bought our own.

VRBO/Evolve

The villa was beautifully furnished and very clean. Great amenities. Location perfect. Definitely would visit again. Local contact very responsive. Communication with Evolve poor as was their listing for the property. VRBO has always been my go to for services. Would not want to deal again with Evolve again.

Not a good first impression. Had to walk around weeds to get in door, porch had not been swept in months. The worse was the knitted sheets. Inside was clean but had not been freshened up before we came. Was a great location for us. Over all okay but not great.

Wonderful location but poor upkeep.

The house maintenance was poor. The carpet had large stains & was bunched upon areas. The lighting in the main bathroom appeared to have short as it blinked like someone sending Morse code. The lawn had no maintenance being done, weeds everywhere. The screen on the porch was loose.The grill was not usable & filthy. We did not rent this house because of all this.

Cute home perfect for visiting with family in The Villages

Just the right size for a family of 4. Clean and welcoming and very easy check in process. Perfect location for a visit with parents who live in The Villages. Pictures are accurate.

Owners' carelessness and deceptive information

I am a professor in the North East with family in Fruitland Park. I came to visit them for the holidays and rented the property to have quiet time for writing and grading during my visit while avoiding Covid situations. When I arrived the property was not ready for renting. "the whole house" did not even have available closets (filled with owners stuff), the carpet had just been cleaned and was wet so I couldn't move my stuff until later, there were no proper linens (e.g., no hand towels, no sufficient or right size sheets for changing beds). the property manager was very responsive but there was so much she could do. I ended up with a house for two weeks where the owners' property was stacked in the garage so I could use the closets (some space was left available for my car) and where I could hardly sleep because of the poor quality of the bed and bedding. My prior experience renting a similar size house in the Villages during the summer was excellent in every possible sense, so I was expecting the same experience this time. If what happened this time is the rule, and my summer rental was the exception, the only thing I can say is I will never trust ever again these systems for renting short-term property.
