We stayed in flora hotel for 2 weeks end of august, on arrival our rooms werent ready but storage for our cases and shown were bar and restaurant were. Reception staff very welcoming and friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Our room was in flora 2 .. could not fault them at all, we did have an issue with the toliet and shower but this was fixed within 20minutes of reporting. Rooms were spotless and cleaner was in most days bar 2 in the week were no cleaners work, we had the same cleaner most days she was very friendly and chatted away. Rooms were well equiped if you wanted to cook or store water and juice in the fridge and tv (not that u go on holiday to watch tv)The pool at flora 2 was lovely however it was extremely deep unable to stand anywhere in it. The pool at other side was the mad pool, loads of kids and sunbeds were practically on top of each other. Food in restaurant was good, plenty of choice and variety and the themed nights were nice twist, however lunch time does seem to be repeated every day with same things but always able to find something. Bar and restaurant staff were really friendly always smiling and having a joke. Defiantly changed the atmosphere up at night time as the entertainment was a bit hit and miss. The only big downside to this hotel is that there is no bar at flora 2 pool, a bar there would make a big difference. Hotel was 15 minutes walk to main strip with bars and restaurants on the way. Would recommend this hotel and will also return will return in the future.
Me, my husband and 2 children stayed at the THB Flora from the 10th of September to the 22nd. When we first arrived we were allocated a room in Flora A which was tiny with no air con and really in need of a total revamp. It was situated on a main road so the noise was rediculous. Also we had specifically asked for a room with air con when we booked. So i went straight to the front desk and advised that i was not happy and would like to be moved to a room that had air con and also that would be big enough for a family of 4 to spend 12 days in. He told me that we had not paid for a room with air con and said we would have to come back the following day to see if there was any availability in the newly refurbished part of the hotel which did have air con but we would need to pay £185 to upgrade. I was furious. So instead we waited for our rep the following morning and advised of our issues. She was really helpful but was un able to move us to an air conditioned room but instead had us moved to another room situated by the pool. This was alot better but still very small and run down. We made the best of it and didnt let it spoil our holiday. We stayed all inclusive and the food was lovely but there was nothing much at all for the kids other than the snack bar which wasnt ideal unless you want to live on burgers and chips for 2 weeks. The staff were all fantastic, extremely helpful and friendly. The best was the animacion team. The blonde girl (im not sure of her name) she is an asset to the hotel, she literally never stops all day and all night keeping the kids and adults entertained always a huge smile on her face and full of fun. My youngest little boy loved her. We always had a great time at the evening entertainment. The pool area is lovely. It is always immaculate and there are plenty of sunbeds to go around. The splash park again is excellent my kids loved it. Would i stay here again? Probably not, unless they refurbished the rooms and fitted air con. Which is such a shame because other than that it really is a lovely hotel
The rooms are good well done out especially the premium ones, there is two pools a busy one where the bar and restaurant is,and a quiet one across the road.the staff are very friendly ,polite and efficient good choice of food.the walk down to the town and it’sself has plenty of bars and eating places. Overall a good holiday
When we first arrived our room wasn't ready and we had to wait for about 30 mins, the room we got was very dated, no air con or a fan (you have to rent a fan) kitchen falling apart - we also requested a pool view which we didn't get. Beds were old and noisy. The thought of being in that apartment was horrible. I asked at reception about air con and he informed us about the apartments across the road, which are all refurbished, nice new rooms with air con. He kindly upgraded us to one of the rooms over there as there was one available - and at a discounted price. Our room was fabulous, very modern! Apparently the whole hotel is getting refurbished over the winter so all rooms are like this. Pool is nice a quiet but freezing and very deep! We didn't get new towels every day, cleaners are not great, location isn't great either, i wouldn't stay here again for that reason I would prefer something closer to the beach or strip.
We visited the hotel back late last year for a few days getaway for my Partners grandads birthday. The rooms were nice and spacious, the bar served a good choice of drinks and daily cocktails. The only challenge were found was the water in the pool was very cold and sometimes unbearable. The food choice for AI on a evening was fine but through the day was quite disappointing. We would return for another short break but for longer holidays maybe a different hotel would be better.
Stayed here for 2 weeks end July beginning August 2017, 2 adults & 2 children (12 & 9), all inclusive. Lovely pool view room, but noisy at night when inconsiderate people returning to their rooms. Food is average, on a rotational themed night basis. The freshly cooked section really good, especially at breakfast time. Lunch is very often last night's leftovers. Drinks for AL customers is local spirits and all served in plastic cups. I understand this for during the day around the pool, but not sure why still plastic cups in the evening. Pool area really well kept, although the sunbed reserving is an issue but I would suggest it's no worse than anywhere else. Evening entertainment was a little repetitive and quality of shows not brilliant. Would not return, but purely because of the location..... too far to walk to the beach and bars/shops. Just a personal thing for us, but wouldn't go all inclusive in Lanzarote again, felt too tied to the hotel and prices are so reasonable in surrounding bars/restaurants. Wouldn't go self catering at Flora, due to location, however we will definitely return to beautiful Lanzarote and especially Puerto Del Carmen.
We are just back from a lovely week in THB Flora the room we had was in flora 1 room 222 with a pool and sea view it was stunning. The room decor was a little dated but it was very clean beds where changed and plenty of towels only down fall with the rooms in flora 1 is the lack of air con other than that they where perfect the kids club is great to keep the little ones busy even for the teens the water volly and shooting games where good. The whole reserving beds was a joke we had to be up early every day to put our towel down on the spot near the kids pool and then go back to get a bed when they where unlocked at 9am surly there is a better way for everyone to get a bed. The only other negative I have is the odd person that thinks it's ok to be topless in the kids pool. All staff where very friendly and helpful.
We are friends aged 23! I've stayed in lanzarote many of times I was a little worried about coming here due to the reviews! However we were so surprised... we were greeted by a lovely man at the reception who showed and guided us to our room we are self catering our room was very modern, clean however the only down fall was that our room only got cleaned the day before we were leaving, the pool area is small for the amount of guest, loads of places to eat and perfect for our little get away.
Stayed at the flora for 11 days, some of us self catering, most all inclusive, no complaints about the hotel, or the friendly staff, clean, good food, only drawback is it's location, very hilly around it
We arrived at the hotel around 9:30 after travelling since 9am that morning so we were exhausted and wanted to go straight to sleep. The impression from the outside and reception areas of the hotel were very good, however when we entered our room disappointed is an understatement!! Firstly the rooms are so dated. The beds are just metal frames with a rock hard mattress on them and they are so noisy. We were overlooking the pool so we could hear the entertainment really loud so obviously we weren't getting to sleep when we arrived. In the bedroom there were sweet wrappers on the floor around the bed, there was something stuck on the mattress protector that I can only assume was a sweet from the rubbish. There were hairs in the bed and yellow/ brownish stains on the sheets and also crisp crumbs in the bed. Absolutely disgusting, it had obviously not been properly cleaned and prepared for us before we got there just from the impression of the bedroom. We then noticed tiny bugs crawling on the bed which I think were ants. The bathroom had not been cleaned either, there was toothpaste on the side with hair stuck in it and also there were ants crawling all over the counter and the sink. Now we aren't talking a few you'd typically expect there were absolutely hundreds and when we tried to kill them and get rid of them hundreds more would just reappear!! The toilet also didn't flush. The kitchen was the worst, we couldn't store food as it would be covered in ants and couldn't use any of the cooking facilities because of them. it was so infested. On the first night we asked for the room to be cleaned because it was disgusting but as there are no cleaners Fridays all they did was sent someone was spare bed sheets!! So we rang who we booked with and they said we couldn't move rooms as the hotel was fully booked so this meant a night on the couch. Again problems carried on the next day and the room got 'cleaned' however all this involved was the bed being made with the same dirty sheets and the floor being swept!! We reported the ants and they sent someone to sort it but nothing changed or got better. After 3 nights on the couches.. (which are just concrete with a cushion on them) we finally got moved rooms all thanks to speaking to the right person on reception. He got us moved straight away after speaking with him and made sure our new room was up to standard which it was. Not a single bug in sight, clean and tidy. We noticed a few differences that made us think our first room hadn't even been prepared for our stay but we were just glad to have been moved. Also there's a stupid good morning song played every morning that'll wake you up if your room is around the pool. So annoying. The other side of the hotel across the road is supposed to be great really clean and nicely decorated and quiet. But the main side is awful, may be good for families with kids but definitely not for couples!! But saying that we spoke to people who brought their children and even they said they'd never return.
