Property Manager was awful

We were kicked out of my house not even 24 hours into our stay. We did nothing wrong we stuck to the contract, but the property manager was nothing but rude and harassed me and my friends. My mom had to run back home to get my medicine when she came and told us to leave. I told her the situation and she said we had too many cars (there was 7 out of 10) and too many people when we only had ten people sleeping in the house which was the limit. She was not allowed to come to the property unless their was an emergency, and she said she came to bring us beach passes which was not included in our stay. She refused to talk to my mom, and put her hand in my face and told me to back off and she drove away. She said to the owner of the house that there were 40-60 kids throwing a party which was not true at all. Spending over $1000 for this trip just to get kicked out the day we get there and not get a refund is unacceptable.

Cozy Cabin

Average home, that worked perfectly for our size of family. Nothing fancy, but clean and cozy. The beds were not overly comfortable, but they were fine for a few nights. Would’ve been nice to have a few extra things such as a pack and play and some cookie sheets in the kitchen. But overall it was nice and we had a good stay.

Not as good as I expected

Location is good, two lakes nearby not so far. But house wasn’t so good as I expected. Furniture are old, especially sectional couch was dirty and has had some spots. Recommend to owner replace it. There’s no household items such a towels, shower stuff, no kettle to boil water for tea these minor things make vacation easier or annoying. Over not too bad

The place was cute, and was perfect for what we needed. Great little area as well, second time back in the area, but the water pressure was awful and couldn’t use the shower downstairs because there was no water pressure and the beds were not comfortable at all… so hard.

Perfect fit for a ski trip with friends. Fully equip kitchen and comfortable beds. Couches were different than initial listing, lack of water pressure and deep deep clean was in question (some dust and dirt on surfaces) were only downsides. However, overall very good experience. Will consider renting from this group again.

Dated property; make sure to get in writing any amenities you expect

We took a family ski trip to Jack Frost / Big Boulder the weekend of President's Day weekend and stayed at this property. Lake Harmony is a nice PA ski town and this property was conveniently located, about a 10-minute drive to Big Boulder and 15 minutes to Jack Frost. We arrived a few days after a major snow storm. On arrival, we had difficulty entering the property because the code sent to use via VRBO was incorrect and we had to keep trying to reach the property manager, who did not return our voicemail. Once we entered the property, we found that there were no bath towels, despite the VRBO listing clearly saying "towels provided." Disappointingly, rather than assuring us that the problem would be fixed, we were required to prove that the VRBO listing actually included towels. The moral of the story for this property is if you expect it as an amenity, get it in writing. The property manager, for instance, believed that "linens" does not include towels. Once we were able to demonstrate that the listing did include towels, they were provided. No snow shovel was provided despite the several feet of snow on the ground and several inches we received. The property itself was average and pretty much as described. The house is very dated. The kitchen was well appointed with a good variety of dishes, glassware, utensils and cookware. The kitchen, dining room, and living room were nice and open and provided a good space for all ten of us. The stovetop only works on high heat. There is no medium or low. The fireplace was a nice feature. Make sure to pack both wood and kindling. Fireplace tools were provided The listing describes this, but there is very little hot water and little water pressure at the house. Ten of us in two bathroom meant that no one could shower at the same time. Any running of water or flushing a toilet while showering causes the water to go completely cold. The downstairs shower is very hard to set onto "hot". The entire dial is cold water except for about a half inch spot on the dial that is luke warm or sometimes hot, but not with much water pressure. The largest bed is a full sized bed. most of the rooms have twins or singles that are tiny. A nice feature is that each room has its own thermostat, so everyone can sleep at their own temperature. The property is located in a nice neighborhood just south of Lake Harmony. The roads and drive way were plowed for us ahead of time and we had ample parking for three large vehicles.

Great weekned

The house and area are wonderful. Things were opening up. The lake and restaurants are close by. Few issues, there was no hot water in the shower downstairs. It was only 5 of us so we all used the one upstairs. Not a big deal for us but for a house of 10 that might be a problem. And the windows, specifically between the glass and screen, were not clear of spiders, webs, and other bugs. It got really hot in the house and we couldn't open the windows. Same with one of the decks. EEK! That aside, it's a beautiful house and watch out for the bears.

Cozy and clean house in lake harmony!

We had a great stay at the house. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived with the exception of a trash can turned over with trash spilled at the end of the driveway. Other than the spilled trash, the house itself was very clean and had everything we needed including toilet paper, paper towels and a gallon of drinking water. The grounds were quiet and pretty and the fireplace was so nice on the cold nights! Thank you for a great trip!

The place was great

We went with a group of 7 so there was definitely enough space for everyone! Loved the tall ceilings too and the place was very clean! If you want a fire pit, you have to bring your own. The yard and trees should be cleaned up better around the house. The viewing deck in the upstairs room needs to be cleaned and dusted properly. We really couldn’t use it do to bugs. Also we tried to get a later check out time but the owner never returned our call or emails. So that would be the only negative things I would have to say. But overall we had a great time! We would are def looking to rent again another property very soon!
