The house is beautiful and very well decorated. The weather was cloudy and gloomy, but the house is so cozy that it made a huge difference. We had a great time watching movies by the fireplace, The kitchen has everything you need, there are games to play in the living room, the balcony outside is very peaceful. The host would reply to all our questions within minutes. We loved the complimentary bottle of wine. We did not use any of the Hideout amenities because it was raining during most if our stay, and we enjoyed staying inside the houe. We visited beautiful historic Jim Thorpe one afternoon.

Great cabin in the Hideout gated community near Lake Ariel. Short drive to Lake Wallenpaupack. Went for 3 nights with my wife and 2 kids. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. Kids used the bunk room while my wife and I used the upstairs master suite. The additional basement was great for games. Cabin had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Host was responsive and provided information regarding the area. Thanks!

The check in process was easy enough. The cabin though... this cabin was the best cabin my fiancé and i have stayed in. So clean, spacious, cozy and private also Full of nice tvs and every kitchen product we could need to spend a relaxing romantic weekend getaway. 10/10 will definitely return to this cabin for another getaway. The property manager was very easy to get in contact with as well!!!

The house was stunning, well taken care of. Had everything you wanted and needed. It’s very cozy, the fire place was great. CJ was excellent to deal with, answer any question very quickly. He provided all the information needed for the house and surrounding areas. Check in was breeze and there was bottle of wine waiting for us. Everything was clean and ready to go. Highly recommended this property.

The host was wonderful. Very quick to respond to questions and always helpful. We enjoyed our three-night stay. Everything was clean, the cabin is very cute and comfortable. The kitchen is amazing with new appliances. It was everything we expected and more. We were able to totally relax and enjoy ourselves.

The house is a beautiful log cabin and has a homey, comfortable feel to it. Very comfortable bed! CJ, the host, was very responsive. The back deck is small, but has a secluded feeling, even with it being in a neighborhood. Would stay there again.

A comfy home away from home

The house is gorgeous. We immediately felt comfortable. My boys loved the basement. They felt like they had their own apartment. The bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable bed we’ve slept on in all the years that we have rented vacation houses. I can’t say enough about the total experience.

We loved our stay at Bear Pause Retreat. Comfortable, quiet, beautifully, and comfortably decorated with all the right amenities. The AC kept things cool, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the enclosed porch was perfect for morning coffee—especially with our Beagle safely by our side!Great host, great communication. We’d absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!

Rustic and quiet retreat

Property was exactly as advertised. The arrival instructions as well as the very thorough guest book in the house were extremely helpful and appreciated. Communication with the owner was quick and clear. The house was spotless and the kitchen well stocked.

Happy days at Bear Pause Cabin

Ww had a lovely, relaxing time at bear pause cabin! Amenities are nice! Very quiet area for relaxing and giving yourself much needed peace of mind from everyday stress. The weather wasn't the best when we were there, but we still got in some fishing time and walks on trails. Also went to different small towns for day trips and went to museums, parks and antique shops! C.J. was wonderful and helpful with our stay at bear pause cabin!

A Cozy Cabin

This cabin is beautiful and so cozy! One of the best appointed places we’ve ever stayed. If you’re looking for a cozy, traditional cabin vibe in a place with tons of amenities you can’t go wrong with this place.

Relaxing and luxurious!

Exceeded my expectations! The property itself was stunning- the cabin was spacious and had all the supplies you need from kitchen stuff, to extra blankets and pillows, to board games, to a cabinet full of contact information. Communication was always very clear and prompt. Lots to do in the area and on the complex itself! The clubhouse also has really good food and is very kid friendly! There was also another side that was adults only and singing karaoke so there really is something for everyone.
