My ocean view was just a partial view. Other than that it was excellent.

Great location, lobby/restaurants/property is very nice, rooms are outdated, no streaming TV options (have to PAY for in room movies) is super lame, but...it's Hawaii so you should be outside anyway...

The property was wonderful. We loved the beach, the pool and the waterfalls in the garden area with swans, ducks, and flamingos.

The resort and spa had all of the amenities you cojld wznt. It is an easy pick up for mzny oc the attractions on Maui. The concierge was experienced and recommsnded the best experiences. Hyatt is upgrading this facilities over time to stay current with vacationers wants and nedds.

Perfect location. Right next to the beach. Amazing amenities.

Nice hotel with several nice pools, hot tubs & a water slide. Two outside bars that also serve food. Cave grotto bar was pretty cool. Right on the ocean, although, not a very wide beach and it's kind of rocky. Several restaurant choices, although 2 of the 3 are very expensive and the other isn't that keep either. You can can snacks and sandwiches in both the convenience stores. the store at the residence hotel is a lot better. We didn't like the Luau. It just wasn't our thing. For almost $400 for three of us, I would have rather went out for a very nice dinner. The food wasn't that good at all. Not much of a vibe at the pools or too much going on. Didn't even have music playing anywhere. Everyone just sat around and did their own thing. This hotel is walking distance to Whalers Village, takes you about 15 minutes...but you can also take the free trolley.

They appear to have the nicest grounds on Kaanapali Beach although they are the furthest resort south and the beach area is not huge. Good ocean swimming is just a kick walk up though, not a big deal. The pools are solid. The rooms themselves were fine, slightly dated but lobby, grounds, pools, etc was up to par. We would stay here again next time we go to Maui.

Excellent hotel and location. I would definitely stay here again! Food was great.

I don't know where to start on this review. There are a lot of negative reviews online that, in my mind, are totally false. From my objective, The Hyatt Resort Maui is perfect. The Resort Itself: The grounds themselves are amazing and meticulously kept. The lobby/atrium area in the main building is timeless and the open air, views, palm trees make you feel exactly how you should in Hawaii. The Swan Court breakfast and dinner area is really unbelievable and we couldn't have asked for a better location to start our day. The flamingo's, swans, parrots, penguins and fish felt like we were in a tropical paradise (which we were). Rooms: I think if you have any qualms about the rooms you should book at the least an ocean view room or even better an ocean front room. We had an ocean view room and it was really comfortable, clean and beautiful. Our room, like the rest of the resort, was meticulously clean and bright. The lanai's were enough size for the 3 of us to sit out there, have a drink and just enjoy the view. Pools: We mostly stuck to the Hyatt Residence pool which was perfect for us. Even though it was the beginning of spring break and there was a lot of people the pool area seemed to disburse everyone well. We never had a problem find chairs and it felt like we had the pool to ourselves most of the time even where there was other people in there. Staff: The house keeping, front staff, service staff and management treated us with smiles and professionalism every day.
