Mike left us instructions on where the key was and when w arrived everything was in place. The patio was great for the pups. We celebrated Christmas around the dining room table playing games and eating pizza. This home is within walking distance of Vons and CVS - although I wouldn't do your big shop to carry it home. Also, you can walk into town. This biggest plus was a driveway - you don't have to fight for a parking spot on the street! It is long enough for two cars. Mike, thank you.

This is a comfortable beach house, very well equipped, in a perfect location for us. Close to the beach, restaurants and groceries. Very walkable. We hardly needed to drive.

Location Location Location

We had an amazing stay at this house in La Jolla Cove! It was close to the beaches, shops, restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and even had a church right across the street! We brought our e-bikes and the trains and paths were endless and always filled with adventure. We loved the comfort of the house. The master bed was a little too soft for my liking but my wife’s didn’t mind it. The house was old but fairly well maintained. It was clean and smelled fresh. We had great interaction with our host, and he was very responsive prior and up to our stay. We did not need any help from him during our stay, and it was a testament to everything being ready for our arrival. We would definitely come back and stay here without hesitating. The house also allows pets, and Bruce the Boxer also says he loved it and would come back in a second. Woof!Thank You again for helping make our vacation special and memorable The Youngborg’s

It's a rental beach house -- keep that in mind and it will meet all expectations.The neighborhood is very quiet, and it was lovely to have all of the interior courtyard windows open at night. It's such a short easy walk to the restaurants, shops, coast, etc. that we never took the car into La Jolla. And while there appeared to be on-street parking when we were there, having our own off-street parking was handy. We had a Camry-sized rental car, and it fit just fine.Full disclosure: The house hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived. We were tired from a long flight and had to scramble to find a couple of clean towels and wash a set of sheets to be able to remake the bed. It wasn’t a great start, but by the next day management had made things right by us and we would be happy to go back again.

Great location

The house is in a great location; literally 5 minute walk to the beach! Also close to a variety of great restaurants, coffee, ice cream. La Jolla Cove is also close by which is amazing.Communication with host was great.

Great house in a great location

A great house for a small group, 2-4 people. Well equipped kitchen and bath. Comfortable beds. Nice neighborhood, close to beach and downtown La Jolla. We hope to come back.

Great house and location in La Jolla

My wife and grand children and I stayed for a week at the La Jolla home hosted by Mike who was very responsive to any and all of our inquiries. The house is larger than it appears in the photos and the kitchen is very well equipped. Beach equipment (wagon, chairs and kids toys) are available. The house is an easy walk to the commercial section of La Jolla but in a very quiet neighborhood. We had a delightful stay.

Perfect spot in La Jolla

Very nice location in La Jolla. Close to beaches, restaurants and (most importantly) my son's wedding venue. Check in process and communication with property manager was excellent. House layout was great and had pretty much everything we needed. Hope to stay here again when we return to San Diego.

Very well situated near the beach, stores & a farmer's market that was there when we stayed. Dog friendly. Nice barbecue set up. Comfortable beds and pillows. No problems, all good!

Great location in La Jolla

The location is great. The house still needs some TLC but the owner has started some improvements. We had a couple of issues with lights and the washing machine, but the owner was very responsive and the problems were corrected in a timely matter. We would stay here again.

Nice property close to La Jolla proper

Old property fairly well kept but has not been modernized. Clean, most of the amenities and little extras. Good room for 2br property. It worked and we enjoyed our stay but was a bit older and outdated.

Dated property

The best thing about this property is the location. The home is not the kept up unfortunately. The kitchen cabinets were dirty inside and old condiments left in the refrigerator. We could not use back patio due to dirty, spider -webbed patio furniture. TV cable worked when it wanted to (host didn't respond until day 2). Gas fireplace was not working, and we were instructed not to burn wood. Bedding was inexpensive. Pictures looked great, but this home is very dated and could use some updating and repairs.
