House was Awesome Parking is Challenging

Loved the house was clean, well equipped, but if you have more than 1 or 2 cars parking is VERY challenging. Like so many older neighborhoods, street parking is all that' available given the size of the driveways. If you moved your car and came back later you might have to park several blocks away.

Amazing home and perfectly located!

We came to town with adult children to go to a KC Chiefs game. This house proved absolutely perfect! Great location, extremely well appointed, and very clean. We will definitely choose to stay here again!

What a great weekend in Kansas City

We stayed at the Homestead while celebrating our annual girls trip. We all met in KC and all but one of us still lives here. We were overwhelmingly pleased with our stay. The bedroom situation was ideal. The beds were very comfortable. The rest of the house was very comfortable for our whole group. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. We have a tradition of cooking a meal together and we had every thing we needed for our 3 course meal. The location was walking distance for picking up things we forgot and o a butcher shop. Loved it. The host was veryy responsive to messages.

Chiefs Game Sisters Weekend

We came to KC for a long weekend, my 60th Birthday and a Chiefs game! This house is so cute, the kitchen had everything we needed including a stocked coffee bar, a great front porch that we enjoyed in the mornings and evenings and five bedrooms for five people. We felt safe there and it was close to restaurants grocery stores and parks.

Cute cottage with plenty of space for large family!

Overall, the property is ideal for a large family or friends. The living area and dining room provided ample space for all without feeling crammed. Loved the added bonuses in the house (1) for those that may have left a few personal items at home - which was nice - and (2) the streaming services! Nice to have a bazillion streaming providers at your fingertips. We have stayed at many VRBOs and never had we been offered so many choices to watch movies / shows as a family during our trip. The neighborhood appears to be on the border of "could be sketchy" and "artsy high end" - where one should be comfortable with urban living. Personally, the home was cute and the neighbors were walking to the bus and the homes are historic looking. I definitely understand the appeal of this area in Kansas City, MO. Our visit was during a record heat wave of 100 degree weather. So for us, the entire top floor (master with bath) was unusable during our stay. The owner was extremely wonderful to send extra floor fans to try to cool it down, but it was not enough to keep the top floor cool even with the AC window unit. The bedrooms on the second floor shared one AC window unit so all doors had to remain open to circulate air during the day and night. The first floor was extremely cool even at 74. We enjoyed our stay, unfortunately, the weather was not on our side during our Kansas / MO visit.

Nice house for 8 or so

Clean, nice kitchen. Lots of extras in kitchen with spices and utensils compared to most VRBO’s. Updated but lots of squeaks on stairs and floors. Attic bedroom can be warm in summer, bathroom there doesn’t not have traditional shower, tub with wand. Very Euro… overall 4.5 stars, neighborhood undergoing a lot of renovations. We didn’t explore the neighborhood much as there for soccer event.

Very clean and communication was great with the owners.

We had a great weekend stay. The house was nice and just as described. The upstairs was a little warm but the window units did their jobs. It just took a while. Overall it was a great stay!

Nice Place

Overall this property is exactly how it appears online. Very well decorated and nice inside. The only 2 complaints would be the dog hair on the living room floor and couch, and the parking situation. I understand that it is a pet friendly property, it just seemed as if the area hadn't been vacuumed since the last tenant. The parking situation off street is just a gravel spot that only fits 1 car unless you want to hang over the sidewalk. Other than that everything else was excellent.

Chief Game with Family

We had a wonderful stay at this location. 5 adults and 2 children. Plenty of space and room. Cozy. Owner is quick to answer any questions and the house was perfect for our family group. Clean and had all the amenities we needed. Close to all the attractions, shopping and Arrowhead Stadium! Would defiantly stay here again!

Delightful family Thanksgiving visit

This comfortable property was perfect for our family while celebrating Thanksgiving. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking our Thanksgiving meal including lots of containers to hold our leftovers! All bedrooms and bathrooms were also well equipped with plenty of towels and needed soaps, shampoos, etc. We were within walking distance of shops and restaurants. All in all, a great visit to KC! We would definitely rent this property in the future.
