Its OK just OK but for the price that is what you get. The breakfast was very mediocre at best. But the location and price were good value and there was a premium Cable Channel that is always a plus.

I just wanted to stay one night before my job interview. My room was nice, clean, the staff was firendly.

All non Smoking rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. If you have a light suitcase then it should not be a problem. They advertise an indoor swimming pool but when I got there it was closed for the season. Yes it was indoor but closed and was also drained. The Breakfast choices were very limited.

I stayed here because it was halfway between my family and downtown Chicago. I stayed three days and two nights. Room was clean, however, the bad outweighed the good. It is late December and I came into the room and it was really cold because the AC was on, and must have been on for a while. It took a long time for the room to warm up. The most disappointing part was the lack of turn down service e.g., I stayed two nights and was very surprised that the beds were not made and bath towels were not replaced. When I asked the front desk they told me that the cleaning person wasn't in today, even though I clearly saw other rooms being cleaned in the morning when I left to my family's house. I wish I would have known this up front. The other problem I had is that I had a room with two queen beds (they were only full sized), and they charged me when I was leaving for having another adult even though there was literally no extra expenditure for this guest. I had to pay an extra thirty. Half the price of a room. I won't stay here again. And would not recommend this hotel for anyone else. I will be staying at the hotel down the road and hoping for a more relaxing and fair experience.

My experience at this hotel was just OK. It wasn't the best hotel I've stayed at, but it also was no where close to the worst.

If your looking for a place to rest, warm shower, continental breakfast this is it. Has a small inside pool which was nice as well. We stayed just before a college orientation and it suited our needs perfectly. Had Internet connection.

It was ok if you're just passing though. I had to stay due to a job relocation & a refrigerator in the room is kind of what is standard. I should have to pay 100.00 a night for one. There was an ice machine & I needed a baby crib for 1 of the 2 little one's & the hotel said it was only 1 & a guest had it already. But the location was very close to the girls daycare so I was able to get to work on time. It was also close to stores & interstate + mostly all my favorite restaurants. Fast food places in walking distance.

Was looking for an inexpensive hotel with an indoor pool in the south suburbs and this was a plesant surprise. In the end it was a very average stay. The room was clean and free of odor. There was a slight odor in the upstairs hall but not bad. Pool area was adequate. Continental breakfast isnt anything to write home about but will get you down the road. For $59 it was well worth it. Would stay again.

It was good we just spent the night and left before the breakfast was set out

Unfriendly staff. Non-smoking rooms smell like cigarrettes. Room needs updating. Very noisy AC. Unkempt rug. On the upside, clean pool, decent breakfast.

Overall a good experience. Good value, staff were friendly. Only suggestion was that they put a more visible sign on Cypress Street so you can see it in the dark but I didn't downgrade my rating because of it.

The room was clean it wasn't fancy, but nice & cheap. The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke nearly every day we were there, which is strange in the no-smoking section of the hotel. Otherwise, good.

The room was clean but the pool wasnt heated like it was supposed to be and the add said the motel had a hot tub and it didnt and there was only 2 towels in the room which leaves a person to wonder how you're supposed to take a shower and go swimming with just 2 towels. The continential breakfast was lousy. We got down there at 7:30 am and the choice for food was 2 bagels and 2 different kinds of cereal. This was a total waste.

Spent three nights at this motel with my daughter and her husband in ajoining room. The beds in this motel were for the most part comfortable. However there were other things that will cause us not to chose this motel next year. Did not like the three pm check in time. Because of this and conflict with our activities schedual we had to check in a day earlier than needed. We asked for extra towels and coffee packets every day, never did get any. Bath towels to small for adults. The tv had a problem with colored lines across screen nothing was done about it. Desk manager acted as if he didn't care. The sink drain in the other room leaked. It was obvious it had been like that for soom time since the wall and floor were damp and moldy. The comforters and carpets were stained dirty. Saw two small pieces of candy in the hallway on Thursday afternoon when we checked in. On Sunday when we checked out they were still there. We will not be staying at this motel next year nor would I recomend it to anyone. Also no place to eat or shop in Manteno unless you want fast food or can wait till mid morning for shops to open.

We were attending a family funeral. The staff was friendly, the room was clean. They made the stay very relaxing.

Friendly, great price . . . quiet stay

Chicago access with out the Chicago price

The Howard Johnson in Monteno was very comfortable. The room was very roomy. The room was very clean and the service was very good. It was also located close to the interstate, which made it easy to get to where we wanted to go. It was close to ONU, shopping and Chicago.

I shared the room with 2 other moms. We were visiting our college sons for one night. We weren't expecting a lot, and were pleased that our room was clean, having sufficient towels, etc. The major problem was the smoke from cigarettes. Two of us have allergies to cigarette smoke. We were on a non-smoking floor, apparently, plus were in a non-smoking room. The hallways reeked of smoke and also our room. I ended up with a horrific sinus headache from having to sleep there. The hotel manager was pleasant. They had coffee in the morning, even a continental breakfast. I just couldn't recommend this to anyone because of the smoke problem.
