It was just the comedy of errors. The toilet was held up with a piece of wood. The floor had black hair on it. The bed cover had burn holes. There was just enough hot water to not make it a cold shower.

You get what you pay for. Out door entrances = noisy. Non-smoking room was not non-smoking.

There was a dirty towel left hanging in our bathroom when we arrived. The was also long strands on dark hair stuck to the shower walls and bathroom floor. Very dirty room.

My room at the Red Roof Inn in Battle Creek, Michigan, was your typical motel room. One big plus - it had a kitchen, with a stove/oven, a microwave oven, and a refrigerator that's bigger than usual. They also have breakfast, although I never had any because I have to eat at 4:00 a.m. due to medication I'm taking. My biggest disappointment was the staff. Before checking out, I took my suitcase to the front desk and rang the bell to call someone. A woman peeked out, and I said, "I'd like to leave my suitcase here." She looked at me like I had horns growing out of my head, so I said, "I'm checking out, and I'd like to leave this here and come back for it this afternoon." She screwed up her face as if she were saying, "What a stupid request!" Finally, she said, "Bring it around." As I was handing it to her, I said, "You seem surprised that I'm leaving my suitcase." She whined, "Yeah, when guests check out, they take all their things with them!" So I was snippy and said, "The big hotels do this all the time for their guests." When I complained to another staff member, that staff member said something that sounded like an excuse: "It's not usual for our guests to leave their luggage." No apology. So I thought, okay, no return to this hotel!

Nice for the money and needs. Recommended this hotel for others attending the same meeting in Battle Creek.

Basic hotel, but served the needs of an affordable place with a pool.

A basic motel that was clean and extremely convenient to I-94. I needed a room to shower and sleep, and it filled the bill well.

This was our first stay since the ownership change and we found it to be somewhat sub standard. I was quite surprised since we have stayed at several of the new owner locations and found them to be somewhat better than what this stay presented. No cups, No glasses, Bugs in the bathroom, ceiling plaster coming off, wall paper coming off and micro wave and ice box had electrical connection difficulties. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. Walls seemed to be paper thin, could hear the upper floor activity. Would consider finding another location for our next stay, but the price is good and they allow pets. Rate D+ or C- at best,

Stay was OK, hotel was close to the highway. Value for money

The room wasn't the cleanest but didn't expect any different for the price and the location was perfect for my reasons of visiting.

Great value. Room was clean. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definately stay here again.

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. Room rate was very reasonable for a double queen room. Would definately stay here again

After weeks of incredibly warm weather, we arrived to find out the pool was closed. They could could not have have been more uncaring to our disappointment . They were quick to tell us, "too bad" and we can not do anything about it because we booked the room through this site.. - Will not make that mistake again.

The staff was nice, and the room was clean if basic. However it appeared as if the bottom rooms were rented by a regular clientele that seemed a little seedy, for lack of a better word. As a woman traveling alone I didn't feel totally safe. Better pass this up if you have any concerns of this nature or traveling with much of value to be left over night in your car.

Decent value for the price. Even the maids preferred the breakfast at the hotel next door. Little bit nicer than the cheapest option across the street, which matched the price. Hotel computer needs updating as it couldn't print out a boarding pass, pretty important for travelers.

I was not satisfied with this hotel based on the price of the room. The hotel itself needs updating and should also be classified as a motel since all the rooms are on the outside. The carpet in our room was old and worn and wasn't vacuumed well at all. The shower curtain reeked of mildew. The clerk at the front desk was on the phone and it seemed she couldn't be bothered to talk to us both times we needed something. The nicest part about our stay was the continental breakfast. The food was pretty good and was constantly being replaced. The breakfast definitely made up for some of the worse things.
