Bluebird Hollow - Entire home in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, United States
Welcome to Bluebird Hollow. Here at the Hollow, you can enjoy a unique and tranquil stay. Whether you like to fish, bike ride, hike or kayak or just hang out in the spacious backyard and watch Bluebirds and other bird species fly about. We are located just off Rt44 in Jersey Shore Pa, surrounded by mountains, with Pine Creek running through it. Williamsport is only 25 min away, which is home to Little League World Series and Penn State is only 35 miles for your college football.
The space At Bluebird Hollow we have 3 bedrooms that can accommodate 6 people. We do have 2 mattress that can be placed in the rooms for the kiddos if you need extra beds. There is 1 bathroom, so we ask that you be gentle with the plumbing system as its only designed to filter water, waste and toilet paper only. (We will supply 4 rolls toilet paper). There is a spacious living room with a full-size couch and 2 wing chairs that look out the huge window in front of the house. There is a TV room with a 40inch Smart Tv, where you can stream your favorite apps on. (Please delete any apps you may add so they don't get used by the next guest.) The twin bedroom has a smaller Tv for the kiddos to watch or play their video games on. The Kitchen is right off the TV room with a large farm table. The kitchen is a good size with an oven, microwave and refrigerator with ice marker. There is also a propane grill outside and a lovely Gazabo to have your lunch or dinner in. The Gazabo has lights for nighttime hang outs. The property backs up the Pine Creek Rail Trail, so you can hop on your bike or one of the bikes in the shed if you didn't bring one. We have a lot of wildlife in this area so please be mindful of any food or trash left outside as we do have Bear, Raccoons, Possum and Deer that will come through the property.
Guest access You will have access to most of the house however the basement will be locked. Our property is not fenced in but there is a line of trees and bushes that you can see were our property ends. Our neighbor owns the field next to us. Please do not let your kiddos or dogs play on the field. You have access to the first shed where there are 8 bikes that you may use. There is also a bike pump if needed. There is a private public beach that you can walk to where you can swim or put in a kayak or tube in. We will provide water maps so you can see all the places you can put in for kayaking or tubing. There is also the Pine Creek State Park in Waterville about 10 mins up Rt 44 that has a sand beach and a beautiful view of the mountains. Pictures of this are in the photo gallery. Great place to bring the family for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Also great for watching the many Bald Eagles that nest on that Lake.
Other things to note We do allow small to med size dogs for a fee of $50.00 per dog. We will need to know the breed of your dog. Also, since we do not have a fenced in yard or space all dogs MUST be on a leash when outside at ALL times... There are a lot of people that walk or ride a bike on our street and also walk their dogs.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and a desk.

Everything was what was expected. Clean, comfortable and accessible. The hostess was incredible. if we had a question, it was answered almost immediately and completely. I never stayed at this location before, but my son walked in and said he and his family had stayed here previously. He was pleased to stay here again.

Great Place Those Who Enjoy Nature and Outdoor Activities
We loved staying at Bluebird Hollow. The place was beautifully decorated and immaculate. The beds were very comfortable - something not often found in rentals. With two living rooms, there was ample seating for several people. The furniture was in great condition and very comfortable. I felt like I was a welcome guest in someone’s home and not staying in a rental. The home is in a great location for anyone who loves participating in outdoor activities. The best part for us was being able to bring our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Heather was a wonderful host and always prompt in answering any questions we might have. It was obvious that she took great care in making sure the rental had all the comforts of home. Lots of little touches throughout the place. It also has a large, private outdoor space and gazebo. Thank you Heather!

50th anniversary of first date
Wonderful stay, early spring and Daffodils were just blooming. On and off rain threw a damper on some of our plans but we really escaped horrible weather. We rode bikes, I fished and we walked a every day. Great stay

Weekend Get-a-way
My husband and I had a wonderful couples get-a-way weekend at Bluebird Hollow. The home is located in a small quiet village between the Pine Creek and the Pine Creek Rail trail and surrounded by mountain ridges. A very lovely setting. The home was nicely furnished, the beds very comfortable with a nice kitchen. For the outdoor enthusiast Bluebird Hollow's location offers close access to fishing, paddling, biking, hiking and cross country skiing. For the sports fan, it is a 30+ drive to Penn State/Lock Haven/Williamsport. For the beer/wine enthusiast there are a smattering of breweries/wineries in the area. There are 2 restaurants located only a few miles away. We ate at the Pine Creek Restaurant and enjoyed our experience there. We look forward to our next stay here!

Birthday getaway
My BD was the 5th. My wife’s the 9th. I enjoy this area and try to fish here 1-2x/year. Took my wife up last year for our birthdays and she feel in love with the area as well. House was perfect & very clean. Lots of pots, pans for the chef in you. Gas stove which is nice. Also, may seem small, but fridge has a very good ice maker so no runs to the store for bags of ice. Yard was very nice and large. Rail to Trail only steps away. Waterville only 3-4 miles away so ez trip for supplies or quick bite to eat. We are already discussing a return trip in the Spring.

A Gem in the Mountains
Bluebird Hollow is a quaint little gem designed to steal your heart. You enter into a home, not a house, that is comfortable from moment one. Between the couch, chairs, and kitchen it's like you have borrowed the house from your grandma. The rail/trail is within walking distance that leads to stunning views teaming with wildlife(we saw a bald eagle on our drive into town) and the hour drive to the PA Grand Canyon was easy. Anyone wanting a getaway to somewhere life slows down should stay at Bluebird Hollow. I know that I want to go back there someday to relive and build on what we had at that stay.

Race weekend
We were participating in the Boulder Beast race in Lock Haven and needed somewhere to stay. Although this was a little further away, it turned out to be a beautiful stay. We were unable to spend a lot of time at the location because of our commitments, but if you're looking to stay at a house with a nice big yard and some beautiful views, look no further!
