Positives Hotel Milad and amgad on reception were so helpful and very polite nothing was too much trouble for them thank you so much. Lobby bar in reception the staf were so polite and gentle when serving you. Lobby area very clean and large loads of seats and very Polite. We found hotel very nice four pools , lovely lagoon to swim in and a massive beach. Rooms. We had a standard room quite large with large balcony, air con very good and also a ceiling fan kept clean rooms in blocks of twelve so reducing noise level. Negatives. Food We we're here for a fortnight all inclusive. We have come to Egypt for 20years and this is the worst food we have ever eaten in a hotel. My husband lived on dates and rice and myself on potatoes and rice . Chicken was inedible, the tureen were full of gravy swill and tasteless pasta. The food was mainly for Egyptians not English. Animation. Animation totally spoilt our two weeks. They ruled over all the pools because the volume of the music was that loud it covered all three pools. It drove us down to the beach out of the noise. I complained but to management but to no avail we had to wear earplugs. Nobody was interested. This hotel is 90 per cent Egyptian ten per cent east Europeans no English
We had a great time at this hotel room large and very comfy bed, staff extremely helpful in particular Ali in the swim up bar, Hussain in the main bar, Hossam in the restaurant. The animation team were very friendly too. They really couldn't do enough. The disappoints were that the hotel is very tired although has great facilities; the food really wasn't to my taste and very bland; the snacks in the afternoon sometimes weren't served and usually if they were they'd run out by the time you got to the front of the queue.
For 1 week holiday at the start of May the hotel was empty. Which was great for us! - So relaxing and peaceful (if your looking for shopping or busy then head to Hurgada instead!). The restaurant wasn't great! - There was warm food and not much choice (but the hotel was empty at this time!). The waiters really looked after us especially Hossam and Kareem (Thank You!). The rooms are very dated but room service was excellent and anything we asked was given or fixed very quickly. The location is very quiet, there were only 4/5 shops onsite. Speak to Joseph who sold us our clothes and was good for looking after us and helping with anything we wanted. A special thanks to Ayman (The Spa). His service and care really made the holiday and helped us relax (He even gave us a free Turkish Hammam!). THANK YOU. I would suggest the hotel needs money spent on the footpaths and quality of food provided but for £8 a night I didn't expect much and it definitely surpassed our expectations and I would go back to this hotel again.
overall a very friendly hotel the staff couldnt do enough for us ill start with BEDROOMS very clean and well organised. LOCATION hotel is literally on the beach with its own beach bar. GROUNDS the groundstaff have done an amazing job making figures out of the hedges also the lawns are cut regular. SWIMMING POOLS the pools could do with some minor restoration but overall they are cleaned regularly. HOTEL FOYER could do with repairs to tiles but who cares as the staff were so accommodating. FOOD AND STAFF the chefs try to cater for all people and vary the menu. The waiting staff are second to none, couldnt do enough for us. ENTERTAINMENT the entertainment staff could not do more to try to entertain. OVERALL a very pleasant holiday worth going Arthur & Linda
Friendly staff. Enough pools. Clean rooms. Kids area. No AC in the lobby or the restaurant. Awful food. Unresponsive management. Dirty kettles in rooms. There worst thing is it's far away from the city. If you want places to hang out, you'll have to get an overpriced taxi. My advice is to skip Makadi bay if you don't want to stay in the hotel for your whole trip. Look for a good hotel in the town.
The hotel is ok, do not expect anything magnificent, but they are doing their best. Rooms were clean, nice decorations. Food was a bit poor, but in the end we were satisfied. The staff was good. Especially a barman at the pool bar (Ahmed) was resourceful, kind, smiling with a professional approach. Always happy to assist or help and he can speak English very well. I was there with my mum and her friends we all were satisfied. Thank you! Martina,Hana, Iva, Anna
Firstly, I was impressed with fast responses over email before arrival to any question. Quick check in process. Absolutely friendly and welcoming staff, no disturbance during whole stay. Big hotel area, spacious rooms and bathroom, beautiful view from balcony. Due to low occupancy during our stay we hd complete privacy both at the beach&pool and restaurant. Hotel is friendly for families with children, as it has kids pools, small aqua park, kids club and kids playground with variety of swings. The hotel has a high potential, rooms furniture of good quality. But lacks maintanance and supervission. We had some equipment out of order opon check in, hense was promptly replaced by hotel servise staff. If more attention to maintanace would be taken by hotel management, I would recommend tgis hotel. At the moment can say it's a good value for price hotel.
A great run hotel was very quiet but the level of service was above and beyond by All Hassan the barman in the lobby bar and ahmed at the beach bar were great as they looked after myself and many other guests always smiling and ready to take away our thirst Sultan from the towel hut again was thier making us smile and ready to put our towels down and make our beach experience as enjoyable as possible Amgad at reception along with twjother guys whose names I cannot remember were great service with a smile The shafina boat was an added Bk us as thefoid was so nice to add the chicken curry was by far one of the most enjoyable dishes of my stay Rooms were cleaned daily and were done to a high standard my room 1112 was perfect as it was just besides the beach very spacious rooms had kettles lots of plugs just bring a adapter though as it's a two pin socket they have a couple of English channels movies and news The animation team run by boudi were amazing full of life and energy even though it's a quiet time of the year I really enjoyed my Arabic lessons from tilo Ramadan and Christina zombies I think the dark guy the Dj Maria and the Ukrainian guy and Anna were always their to greet you and answer any questions or just chillout with you thanks guys and see you Shak. One day soon Finally Elaine the guest relation lady is at reception and always happy to help and makes it an effort to go above and beyond to help guests as I had a personal problem but they tracked me down along with the manager and tried to help me for this I must add a special thank you and I hope you can take my word for this and close the matter big hello to baby Ali Also main restaurant Ali Islam Shahan were helpful and always happy to serve you drinks etc thank you guys Saffron from the uk
Me and my partner tried to stay here for a week in Feb I honestly have to say that this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at and had to be moved. Firstly our room stunk of raw sewage so bad that we couldn't even stay in the room the general cleanliness of the hotel was awful. Then my step daughter was told she had to extra for water at the so called bar even though it was meant to be all inclusive. Then there was the hotel grounds they looked like a building site with piles of sand everywhere the swimming pool water was green and was cracking and flaking on the bottom.
This was excellent value for the $20US per night I paid for all inclusive. I was given an upgraded seaview room with a comfortable king sized bed, tea/coffee making facilities, large bathroom and flat screen TV. I found the staff to be very helpful, from the reception staff who acted promptly to address any issues, the bar staff and dining room waiters who were quick to remember my regular choices, the cleaner who kept my room very clean and Boody and the rest of the animation team who tried hard to engage the relatively few guests in various activities. The entertainment highlight was the gala evening in the boat restaurant with belly dancing and whirling dervish. The food was satisfactory- nothing special but typical buffet fare and I stayed healthy. The heated pool was a good size and had a swim up bar. I enjoyed snorkelling from the long jetty, though there should be a flag system to let people know whether water access is open during windy weather as it was quite a hike to find out. The reef has the usual assortment of wonderful, colourful fish, but the area is less protected from the wind than hotels on the north side of Makadi Bay, so I walked all the way to Fort Arabesque a couple of times for snorkelling. Note that it is possible to stroll past all the hotels with just a wave from security. Most weekly guests are German, along with some Czechs and Brits, but a fair number of Chinese came for a couple of nights at a time, apparently after a Nile cruise. My transfers were included and went smoothly, with a taxi to myself. I felt I got a great deal and this hotel deserves to be busier.
