Convenience of stores in the vicinity. I did not like not having continental breakfast. That will be a deciding factor in our next visit

Room had a huge gap under door and can hear babies crying everywhere. Staff was awesome though.

This property should not call itself a 'resort' and be allowed to charge a resort fee. Even the pool area feels like an afterthought. Location is great but the facilities are very dated and in need of refresh. Parking garage is dangerously designed with several narrow stalls, winding ramps and the same ramp for entry and exit, not to mention $35 overnight parking charge.

When asked directly staff was pretty helpful. At check in they neglected to tell us things like you needed to use your room card to access the elevator, ice machine or even the bathrooms in the lobby.

The property was located on a busy street in Waikiki, better for people who want to experience the night life

We just checked out after five amazing nights at the Ohana Malia. We got a one bedroom with two twins and a queen with a kitchenette for the four of us: my two-year-old, five-year-old, my husband and I. It was so nice to have a door to close and have a little bit of grown up time at the end of a beautiful beach day. The room was clean and comfortable and we felt right at home. We stocked up the fridge with food for breakfast in the room from the many nearby ABC stores and Longs too! Saved us so much money. Also there is a late night pizza window connected to the hotel which we hit up more than once! Having free access to the Pink Line trolley made the visit so easy. We went all over the place on the double decker which thrilled the kids every time. This location is amazing! All of Waikiki is right outside your door and easily walkable. Super safe, super fun neighborhood with lots of great food. The staff is warm and kind and so welcoming. We were able to check in late and they held our bags for us until our red-eye flight after checkout. If you are looking for a great price, amazing service, and an awesome location without all the fussy fake luxury of the big chain resorts, you will be so happy with your stay at the Ohana Malia! Mahalo so much for showing us the spirit of Hawaii!! Can’t wait to come back.

The location is good, near restaurants and shops. The room was good, though sometimes not cleaned until late in the afternoon. They charge a mandatory "resort" fee, which provides internet access and use of the two meter wide swimming pool. Other "amenities" are a Rivals sports bar and an IHOP. They also double billed me and claimed they had no record of doing so.

I loved our room and our review. The strength was fantastic and went out of their way to give us everything we needed. They were overly friendly all the time. If the pool is important to you do not stay at this hotel. The pool was very small. Everything else was great.

Clean in general but shows some signs of wear. Location is close to the shops and restaurants, which is nice and convenience. However, there was some noise from the street outside.

The place was nice. The place was accessible to all shopping malls and restaurants.

Great location, easy access to main attractions in Waikiki. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Be ready to pay additional $25 a day resort fee and $35 a day parking fee. That’s $60 additional dollars a day and over the 5 days there cost me $300. Lessened learned, I’ll look for lodging elsewhere next time. Also location is good but facility is old and amenities are very basic.

Hotel is in a very convenient location next to shops and restaurants and not a far walk to beach. Staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms definitely need some updating, but if you’re there to see Waikiki and need a nice, safe and inexpensive place to stay-this will do!

Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. Rooms were clean, and beach towels are provided at the front desk.

We didn’t like the parking at all! It was hard at first to locate the parking structure and it’s dangerous because it’s a one way. We had to reverse back onto the road to wait for the other car to come down. And it’s very narrow, luckily we had a small car, other than the parking, we liked our room and the staff. Thank you.
