Overall, we would stay at this unit again as we enjoyed location and comfort, but some things made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been.
The unit itself felt clean and new; beds were comfy, all of the furniture was like-new and comfortable, kitchen had helpful tools, bathrooms and the back porch were nice. The updated kitchen and state-of-the-art appliances were clean and impressive. The view of the dock and water from the 1st floor was very pretty and the porch was comfortable and enjoyable to sit on.
We were able to park right by the door and there were no noise issues from outside the unit.
But the "private" balcony looks over the parking lot, and we were not able to access the dock because it required a code that was never provided to us, even though we asked. Only 4 washcloths were provided for 4 of us, so we had to ask for more (received 3 more) since we weren't planning to do laundry multiple times during our one week stay. Couldn't figure out how to turn the picture TVs off for a dark room, so just had to unplug them. The twin bedroom (right below the king bedroom without much noise cancellation) had a curtain rod that was falling off of the wall on one side.
The thoughtful goodie bag, in a canvas bag we could take home, small cut flowers, and beach towels were a nice touch upon entry that we really appreciated. The towels were very nice and were great for the beach.
We arrived at night, so in the dark the management office to pick up the gate pass was very hard to find, and we needed a door code which should have been but was never sent to us, so we had to call the management company and thankfully someone answered.
Little information was provided about surrounding amenity opportunities (bike rentals, free trolley rides around Sea Pines), and our tennis pass and discount for bike rentals was not given with our gate pass so we had to inquire about it later.
In our past experience with numerous rentals, a lot of information was provided about nearby resources, activities, beach rentals, and unit operation info in a binder. We discovered the bike rentals and trolley on our own, and not knowing about it would have really complicated things.
There was a leak under the kitchen sink we cleaned up, and we specifically asked it be repaired while we were gone in the afternoon, but the repair person was told by management to come first thing in the morning, which woke me up. The leak was under control and we had conveyed this.
