A great place to take the family for vacation with easy access to the beach, a nice fitness facility, two outdoor pools and one inside. Daily activities for the kids makes it more fun. The food was good and plentiful. Highly recommend the taco salad, chips and burritos.

We had a fantastic trip here. Though I escaped here for a chick week--I could easily see bringing my husband or my grandbabies. This place is suitable for everyone. The staff is also very friendly. From Desmond who is a short order chef and bike washer to Chris who rents the bikes--Everyone seems to enjoy what they do. At the beach bar, Summer was friendly and quick, and both Robert and Keil had great recommendations. This is an amazing escape on Hilton Head. Definitely rent bikes and enjoy the area!

Great service! Great location! Great Beach! We are vacation club owners and this is our first time to Surfwatch and we already have our dates reserved for next year so we are really enjoying this place. We still have 4 days left. Beach: not crowded at all. If you want you can rent umbrella and 2 chairs (you cannot lay on your stomach) for $35 a day. We purchased chairs and an umbrella prior to coming and are very glad we did. We will try and find someone to gift them to on our way out or sadly leave them behind. But what I paid for them already has saved us money. Its super easy to get your stuff to the beach which is quite a ways away from the beach. Highly recommend. Bring your cooler and you are set for the day. Bikes: great fun. Easy trails all over the island and great way to get to the beach. $30 a week. Rooms: Spacious, nice amenities, amazing bed, everything you need. Unless you want a big skillet for bacon or a large pan for lots of food then you will lacking. Plan on grilling. Cookware is for smaller size family meals. Grills are awesome and everywhere. Don't pay for ocean view. I don't think its actually ocean view I think its pool view. I think they told us "ocean side" is the one with the ocean view if you are maybe on the top. But don't be fooled its not ocean side at all. Garden view is by far your best bang for your buck. You have to walk a ways to the beach anyway... We rode our bikes about 5 miles to Marleys Grill. Bike ride was awesome food was terrible. We are in building 52 and on the 4th floor. The workout room is on the 2nd floor. If someone is lifting weights for some reason you can hear the weights banging on the floor. I have been woken up to this 2 days already. I would ask to try and be away from building 52 and far away from the workout room if you are not an early riser. Its quite loud. The food at the grill by the beach is fine and prices are a little high but you are ocean side at a resort. SO...the drinks are way over priced for what you get and pretty meh... Bring your own, make your own.

Spent 12 days at surf watch had a great time. Very spacious villas. Very clean. Had cleaning service daily. The kitchen was well equipped . The resort has many enjoyable activities. The beach is clean and well kept.

Stayed in a SurfWatch suite with four bedrooms. Wonderful space, clean and the AC works great for the large space. The campus is very clean, lots of activities for all ages. The fire-pits are a great touch and a fun spot for smores. Every single staff person is polite and friendly, greeting you at every encounter and remembers your name. Even though we went in August, the resort and its beach were not crowded at all making for a very pleasant stay.

We come to HHI every year and we always stay at Marriott properties. While we liked Surf Watch, our preference is The Barony. Surf Watch is set back from the beach and you have to walk a lengthy board walk to get to the beach. The other downside is the pool at the beach is extremely small. Overall Surf Watch has all of the amenities you expect from a Marriott Vacation Club property. One other thing keeping me from giving the property a 5 star rating is they were working on the bathrooms at the main pool. This is completely unacceptable during high season. This is something you handle in November, not July. Also, the main pool was out of service 1.5 days as the pump broke. Again this is not acceptable in high season. I do give Marriott a lot of credit for getting the pool fixed quickly and they provided a complimentary cookout to the guests which was nice but not satisfactory for the cost of staying here.

We had a great week in early June. Beach was great as always, check out the river about 1/2 mile south of the beach right outside surfwatch. Additionally, food was better this year than in past years. Salads, fish tacos, and kids combos. Great time with bikes as well. This is a great place to have a vacation.

A great location. 3 pools and eight on the beach. Both quiet and plenty of activities. Staff was helpful. Beautiful rooms. Would stay every year if possible. Bike rentals on site along with beach bar/restaurant. Highly recommend.

We had a 3 bedroom, full kitchen, 3 bath with a dining area, balcony, living room and in-room laundry. Air conditioning, kids activities, 2 pools and multiple hot tubs, full beach access and beach/pool side dining available.

This is one of the nicer Marriott timeshare and hotel locations. The views were beautiful whether you overlooked the fishing pond with waterfalls and docks, and hammocks (a great way to fish!) or the ocean. While the ocean is not a hop, skip and jump away, the staff are there at a moments notice to scoot you away via golf cart - friendly and fun. If you choose, you can partake in the many amenities they have for adults, families and children. Honestly, we did not do many of the scheduled activities because there were so many other things to do. The grills access is great and, if desired, you can even make smores at the fire pit not far from the entry. Ocean, movies, games, grills, fishing (catch and release), much to do and, sadly, so little time... Highly recommend!
